Very modern, chic hotel nicely positioned for restaurants, bars, shops & the tube. Upgraded to a deluxe room as our standard room wasn't ready when we checked in. Really comfortable and clean room. Didn't eat or drink in the hotel as it was expensive so cant comment on that side of things.
On the whole, we had an enjoyable stay here. We particularly enjoyed breakfast at this hotel: it featured excellent selection and quality of food and drink with plenty of comfortable seating. The hotel is a comfortable walk from the nearest Underground station. Our room was clean and quiet; however, it was rather small for the 3 adults it was advertised to accommodate. The shower in our room was the biggest concern: it was difficult to adjust water temperature to anything cooler than "very hot". Due to the hot water and the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom, using the shower made the room uncomfortably warm at times. Wi-Fi signal strength in our room ranged from poor to marginal.
Firstly, it's 2 hotels, and there's no way of knowing which one you've been booked into! Of course, we went to the wrong one first. I knew in advance that breakfast was extortionate and the wi-fi wasn't free, but the first extra was the demand for my credit card to charge me £30 in advance for "any additional services I might use", although I was assured this would be returned. Our room was spacious and clean, but outside there was either a generator or an air-conditioning unit that was very loud and constantly on, and we had to leave our windows open as the air-conditioning wasn't up to much, and couldn't be left on during the day.
A good experience. Staff fine. Clean room. Didn't use the spa facilities. Fitness room fine. Restaurant fine. It's a former BBC studio with roots in rock and roll so apparently stars sometimes like to hang out there although I saw none during my stay.
The La Resarve was a nice hotel in a great location. I stayed here for two nights in July. The hotel is situated close to the Fullham Broadway Underground Station (about 3 minutes walk) and to the Chelsea Football grounds (about 2 minutes walk). Which was very convenient as I was attending a show in the area. Also there were a lot of restaurants around and it was a very pleasant area. Seemed safe for a solo traveller. The hotel is about three stars budget hotel and of good quality. I was impressed with the look of the hotel from both inside and outside. Rooms were a little dated but still pleasant. The room was not too small and spacious. It was a nice touch to have fruit in the room and I availed of some. There was also a TV and air conditioning plus a fan which I needed as it was very warm on some days. Staff were pleasant although one had very bad english language skills. I had breakfast one morning and it was mostly continental. There as no cooked breakfast just the odd egg and toast at times. There was an extra charge to get a Cappuccino and Latte from a particular coffee maker which was designed to make those types of coffee. Plus the waitress had to come to make it. Which made it awkward and a bit odd as I never witnessed this before. They should have an automatic one so that everyone can use. But the coffee was free from just a general coffee pot. Which was kept hot at all times. But I would say get over brewed at times. The waitress was not very pleasan
Being nearby to the Olympia and on the doorstep of the London Tube and the Westfield Shopping centre the location was superb. We were on the top floor (4th) without a lift, so be aware of that, but it wasn't an issue for us. The room was very quiet with wifi access, air-conditioning and good tea/coffee-making facilities. We stayed two nights and were very pleased we did.
Welcome to W12 Rooms/ sensibly-priced luxury in one of London s most exciting and convenient locations. Our 19 …More
Hotel staff welcomed us with warmed cookies upon arrival. Stayed for a week, enjoyed the full experience. Given a double and single bed for 3 people, which was great, as I did not want one of us to sleep on a sofa bed. Free access to an in room safe and an (empty) mini fridge, which I stocked up with snacks. Tesco Express (grocery store) was 1 minute walk away. There are 3+ restaurants (British food, Arabic and Thai restaurants) nearby of reasonable price. But most close by 10-11pm, so not really any late night eats around Chelsea FC stadium was about a 15-20 minute walk away. Not much to do in the area, but the Imperial Wharf Overground train station was 1 minute walk away. Parking was available at the chelsea wharf, but had to pay a 20GBP a night charge (had to ask them and then they would phone over to let us in). In and out parking was fine, as there was always someone on duty to let you in and out. The staff was great - very accommodating. Nicest Manager and staff!
Pocket Guide: London Hammersmith and Fulham Hotels
On the north bank of the Thames, residential Hammersmith retains a bustling, city-centre feel with high-street shops and offices. The area around the magnificent 19th-century suspension bridge is often busy with those visiting Hammersmith's riverside pubs, especially in April when the annual Oxford-Cambridge boat race passes by. Fulham’s main thoroughfare, the Fulham Road, is filled with smart bars, chic restaurants, and fashionable boutiques. The area is best known for Stamford Bridge, the home stadium of football team Chelsea FC.
