“False advertising”
We paid for all-inclusive and wanted some variety in food. The site lists 3 restaurants, but there was one AWFUL buffet option only. My wife and I got sick for 2 days and oddly noticed that certain ingredients like eggplant were served with dinner, and the the same ingredient served for breakfast. Who eats egglplant for breakfast? I currently live in Tunisia and know that service and food are not always great, so I had low expectations going into it, and these were still not met. I also paid a large fee to have a fax sent from the front desk that never went through. Lastly, I once ordered a whiskey and instead received a knock-off jagermeister (sp?) on the rocks, which was horrid, and then was told that real drinks cost extra. All-inclusive is limited to bad drinks served in tiny receptacles. On the other hand, the service was OK, the funny members of the "entertainment team" are friendly, and the pools are nice. But this hotel is not as advertised. The restaurant closure could be temporary due to the fact that it is now Ramadan; however, they should advertise as such.
“Restaurant Blues”
The hotel service was great except for the restaurant service. I told the matrade at the restaurant that I was a diabetic and all of the cereal served had sugar, I requested Corn Flakes or Wheaties. The manager and staff gathered and were pointing at me while I was eating and acted like I had started a war. You may want to ask why I did not like the food, as a traveler to over 50 countries I found the food that I liked there pretty limited. I found a few things that I liked and that sustained me thru my stay. About 80% of the food at the buffet I found to be not to my taste so choices were limited. That is the only slight complaint I had about my stay, most of it was a pleasant experience.
“Below 3 star hotel”
I stayed with my family in August 2009 for 4 nights in Yasmine Hotel. Overall, I was not impressed by the hotel. It is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but it is in fact a well below-3-star hotel. The area where the hotel is situated is nice and clean, and well animated. But the hotel itself wasn't great. The food presented to us was almost the same everyday, and was of low quality. The service within the hotel is overall poor, although the personnel tried their best.
“Can't wait to go back”
We were so impressed with "Yasmine Beach" hotel, this hotel has its own private beach and so many other facilities, such as (payable) Thalasso, buffet restaurant, 2 pool bars, lush gardens, tennis court, reception bar the list is endless, nightly free entertainment, friendly staff and management. The food was excellent too with so many varied dishes to choose from. We would most definately use this hotel again.
“Very disappointing”
We stayed here between 3 and 11th April when weather was cold and rainy; we had one really sunny day. As a result, we had to rely on the hotel facilities to compensate and we'd also paid for an all inclusive deal. I thought the food was very good, but only one restaurant was open and my two teenage kids didn't really enjoy the ethnic offerings that were often mis-labelled, eg, fish as meat. Everything else was lacking: given that it advertised various things to do, there wasn't a working Internet service, only two English speaking TV channels: BBC News and CCN, limited pathetic evening entertainment, the same Kenny G tape playing in the background, no tea & coffee facilities and chairs in room. Fridge was rusty and needed defrosting. As stated before, this is not a five star hotel and it hadn't been pointed out to us that we were visiting it "out of season". The beach is across a busy main road and didn't seem very private. It would do for families with young children who seem to be kept very happy by the "animation" staff. Also, those who'd like to get stuck into serious drinking and get your money's worth! Check on the weather before you go!
“A 'stay here' hotel”
We stayed there for two nights, for a conference close by. Food was delicious! Staff was very nice! Just next to beach which was deserted since we went in March Rooms were very satisfying
“Relaxing Trip”
Perfectly situated next to the beach and just 1 minute's walk away from Carthage land - perfect for a summer vacation - pity I went in March... probably lost out on a lot!
“no good”
