“Hotel is not four stars by any measures,is not great but not bad.”
Expedia should be careful rating hotels,people like me rely to a great deal on the info displayed even with disclaimers,when info is not very accurate or somewhat misleading you come to mind.Regardless I did enjoy Tunis and Hammamet beach,people are nice and friendly,Room was not up to par.
“Overpriced”
It’s pleasant but overpriced No entertainement when I was there beginning of December 2009 but was better over Christmas. I went there initially to check it out and again over Christmas as my brother’s family was staying as part of a package tour. Food was good but there's better food and service in most other four star hotels. Poor value for money especially so far as drinks in the restaurant and bar were concerned. 38 dinars charged for having an extra guest join us for dinner when we were initially told it would be 18 dinars which is about the price most other hotels charge. Other hotels such as Sultan, Royal Nozha and Abou Nawas are more exciting and better value for money. Royal Nozha is also normally a cheaper and superior hotel (for some reason the Expedia price for Royal Nozha seems very high at the time of writing this review).
“Some good, some not so good points”
It was the 3rd year we had visited this hotel. For a quiet, out of season, winter sunshine break the location is great. Sadly, there has been a change of ownership from Miramar to Barcelo chain and the quality of service has declined. In particular, the buffet dinner food was often of poor quality - looked like "cost cutting" was going on. Compared to last two visits, this year did not represent value for money. I hope things improve as we would like to return to the location.
“Hotel Miramar, molto vicino ad Hammamet”
Ho soggiornato al Miramar dal 29.05 al 5.06 2010. L'albergo è bello, ma in netta decadenza, tanto che erano in corso vari lavori di ripristino con grande disagio per i clienti. Segnalo i seguenti punti, lasciandone naturalmente la valutazione ai singoli utenti: - personale disorganizzato, indifferente se non apertamente sgarbato - cibo cucinato male, senza alcuna cura, poca frutta e pesce in un paese come la Tunisia ricco di questi alimenti - l'utilizzo delle sdraio, sia in piscina che in spiaggia, è sì compreso nel prezzo, ma si devono pagare i sottili materassini di gomma senza i quali l'uso delle sdraio risulta problematico - nelle stanze mancano sia il frigo, sia lo specchio da trucco previsti nel programma - in spiaggia non c'erano né docce né toilette - funzionava un unico bar e un unico ristorante dei tanti previsti creando inconvenienti in quanto l'albergo è veramente molto grande - pulizia è insufficiente - la liberazione delle camere era prevista per le ore 12, ma già alle 12.05 un cameriere si è presentato in camera ingiungendoci di uscire e si è ripresentato dopo altri 10 minuti con fare ancora più minaccioso (da notare che l'albergo era quasi vuoto e la nostra camera non era mai stata rifatta prima delle 16). Anche se un ritardo c'era, non so se questo sia il modo di fare appropriato - una giacca da me lasciata nel ristorante non è stata più ritrovata L'aspetto più negativo, a mio parere, è l'atteggiamento del personale.
