Towering above all else.

An excellent stay. The hotel was comfortable and ideally situated for getting about, close to both mainline and underground stations, and only a short walk to the city centre or a couple of stops on the underground. The staff were extremely helpful and our room was efficiently serviced even when we didn't get out of bed until 6p.m. If I return to Hamburg I won't bother looking for anywhere else to stay. Not the prettiest of locations but I would confidently recommend it to anyone.

Neighbourhood recommendations: Not really a top tourist city, but the shops are good and the Reeperbahn has some interesting night life.

Getting around: The underground is cheap and efficient. Easy to navigate with frequent trains.

Fantastic Stay....

We only got to this Hotel by accident as our usual place we stay in in Hamburg was fully booked (as was most everything since it was "Hafen Geburtstag" (harbour birthday celebration). The hotel impressed us allready at our late night checkin, the staff was friendly, the room spacious and the view from the 27th floor breathtaking. The hotel itself seems failry new and is very stylishly designed. The location in the center of the city next to a huge park makes it easy to reach all major sights by foot... All in all a great place to stay and well recommended.

Pretty but......

The hotel is very pretty, impressive at first. Hotel Staff were very nice, room designed very pretty; But it lacks certain things..... Smoking section right at the entrance of the hotel, so when you come in the first thing you smell is the smoke... Do not know if they have a ventilation problem, but can smell the smoke in the room. There is not wireless internet access in the rooms, and they know it, because when we told them about the problem they did say that there is no wireless internet in some areas of the hotel and they gave us a cable.... Not good. Noises at night, I have no idea what it was, but I could hear noises coming from upstairs, like construction..?? we didn't ask what it was.... Very hard for a tall person to sit on the toilet.

Neighbourhood recommendations: The center of the city, shopping is amazing and great prices.
