Great location for the Hamburg central station
The room was clean and large, with plenty of storage, but a bit spartan, it could have done with some pictures on the wall or other decoration. Breakfast was continental with a fair choice. Great location just round the corner from Hamburg Central station

Traveling with one teen, the hotel was mainly clean with a very nice breakfast. Our room opened onto the very busy street, and since the weather was very hot we needed the window open so it was very loud late into the night with people yelling, throwing bottles, and sirens. There was no fan or refrigerator, the single beds were very narrow with barely any space between them. The bathroom was very small with no window so a shower resulted in high humidity in the room. On the plus side the location was near to the train and city center with many restaurant choices so it was convenient for sightseeing.

Good value for the location. Mere steps from the Hamburg main train station and a host of attractions, including the charming St. Georg neighbourhood. Very quiet rooms that are basic but comfortable. Breakfast was basic but fresh and a decent variety. Would certainly stay again and recommended for budget conscious travellers.

Without a doubt, it is the worst hotel we have stayed in in our lives. Worst of all was the rude and impolite treatment of the gentleman at the reception. He was rude, spoiled and did not give us a solution to the problem. We reserved a Triple Comfort room with a sofa bed included for three adults, and upon entering the small room it only had two beds. That was all! We asked to be moved to a room for three people and they told us that the hotel was full. Finally they brought a small bed that hardly fit in the small room and made it difficult for us to move inside it. Our son had to sleep in that uncomfortable and old bed that was right next to the heater. They never solved our problem. But the rude and impolite treatment of the reception employee will be unforgettable. Never stay in this hotel.

This is my second stay in a Novum Hotel in Hamburg. This hotel is perfect for single and accompanied travellers. 2 minutes from the central railway station and there are many eating places in the neighbourhood. The hotel is quiet and the breakfast is delicious.

Scammers!
This hotel does not match the photos you book on the site. In fact, when you arrive it's dirty, ugly smelly rooms, with tattered beds. many steps, people with a suitcase won't even be able to enter the hotel! These people deceive their customers, they charge a very large fee (170€ per night) I do not recommend anyone to book a hotel, they are scammers!

Chose hotel for its family room for 4 of us. Arrived at 10am after disembarking from a cruise. Reception was able to get us into a room that was ready for checkin. Room was small but adequate. Breakfast was quite good. Did not have fruit mix that I like that was available at another Novum hotel we stayed at a few weeks ago pre-cruise.

The room was cleanish, but there was visible filth in the bathroom, dust that has sat forever, hair stuck to walls, etc. Also, the shower was broken, couldn't adjust height.

Arrived really late but no problem with check in . Room was simple but beds VERY comfortable. ABout 12 steps to reception could be a prob for some. Not much noise about the place. All very clean and breakfast was EXCELLENT. Very convenient for railway station and U Bahn and a few shops restaurants and bars within 50m

Stayed Friday and Saturday night. Terrible sleep because a close by night club plays loud music until 5 in the morning. The hotel tries to work with the covid 19 restrictions in their breakfast restaurant, but it is very tight. Would be better to make bookings for breakfast, to avoid too many people in the restaurant. Good location close to the city and train station

Worst bed I've ever slept on.
) There is little to no chance to get a parking near the hotel, so take into account you'll probably have to park in a garage for around 25 euro/ 24 hrs. ) The beds were the worst I've ever had the displeasure to find in a hotel. Like sleeping directly on wires, just horrible on all accounts. ) Temperature was aweful. Me and my husband slept on the 3rd floor and had to keep our window open from check-in to check-out to not suffocate (and yes, we turned of the radiator). It seems it was the whole floor 3 that was cooked. In-laws slept on 4th floor and didn't have this issue. ) The room and bathroom was clean and felt fresh, which was a slight bonus. ) Breakfast was sort of what we expected. Low quality but reliable. ) Keep in mind that the church bells can be heard every 30 minutes all through the night, if you are a light sleeper this might be a problem.

Decent hotel with great location
Satisfied with almost everything (e.g., location, cleanness). The hotel seem recently renovated. The only negative would be the bed (bad quality of mattress, okay linen). Because of covid19, we didn't try breakfast (so no comment about breakfast).

Handy location for railway station, friendly receptionist, decent room, good breakfast. Building has a lift but hotel entrance steps might make it inaccessible for some - please check. Overall, good value and I enjoyed my stay.

This was my I believe 5/6 stay at this hotel.It is very clean,comfortable with friendly English speaking staff.The Continental Breakfast is excellent and plentiful.Very close to the main railway station - Hauptbahnhof (25 min's to the airport and a less than 10min walk to the main shopping area.Only downside some noisy residents in the corridors.
