“Great stay”

The hotel was great, extremely clean, great service and very comfortable. I wish the internet was cheaper and wireless in the rooms instead of being connected through cable. Wifi is however is free in the lounge and the lounge is extremely comfortable. Also, if you are walking from the U station, if you have luggage it can be quite a hike.

“High caliber hotel with pool & excellent service”

This was one of the few hotels I found with a pool (those long US-Germany flights can wreak havoc on your back). I was not disappointed. Excellent service, friendly staff, clean rooms (beds are a bit short for a 6'3" guy), nice bathrooms with an in-bathroom heat blower to warm it up, excellent in-room heat that was a blower heated the room up fast. I didn't sample the restaurant but the Christmas lebkuchen and stollen in the lobby are nice touches. Scandinavian design and that German committment to clean made this a great stay. By the way, the pool is a bit small, but a great option for stretching out & relaxing; the sauna is a nice touch too. I'll stay here again for sure.

My mother and I stayed at the Mercure our first and last two nights in Hamburg. The hotel is located within walking distance of the shopping, train station and provides a free shuttle to and from the airport. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff spoke English and most were very helpful and friendly. We both agree that we would stay at this hotel on future trips to Hamburg.

The hotel is nothing fancy, but it's perfect if you need a place near the Hamburg airport. They offer a free shuttle to the airport every 15 minutes. I recommend skipping the hotel's pricey breakfast and grabbing some food at one of the grocery stores around the corner.

“Good Value, Location”

About a 5-10 drive from the Hamburg airport. Little noise from airplanes flying overhead. Nice facilities. Great front desk staff. Parking below ground, but a bit pricey for a 24 hour period (more than the Holiday parking lot at Hamburg airport charges).

nothing exciting about location but short walk to subway gets you downtown in 30 minutes. Convenient for early morning departures. 10 minutes by shuttle to airport.
