“Tiny room, smoke smell, noisy location.”

Room was too hot (although there was a fan). Opening the window it was very nosiy as close to a main train station. There is a sign saying that you can get earplugs for free, didnt try that though. Have to go through the nextdoor hotel (best western) for yourkeys etc. Walking from BW to this hotel is like walking from West to East Germany. Lights in the corridoors didnt work in the Central Hotel but they were ok in the BW. Alex

“Nice staff, clean rooms, affordable price”

We picked this hotel based on proximity to the airport, price and it had a triple room. We were happy to find that everything was clean and in good condition. We left before breakfast so we don't know how well that was, but if your looking for a moderately priced hotel that has a room for three then this fits the bill.

“Convenient location and good value”

Rooms a bit small but this is common in Europe. The hotel was well placed with station, market and shops within a 5 minute walk. Not too far from airport and could walk to Fishmarket and City in 30 mins or so. Continental breakfast was excellent. Overall good value.

“I would not hesitate to go back”

We found the hotel staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean, modern and tidy. The room was small but this was expected as there was three of us in a twin room, however the hotel accommodated for the third person very well. We found the hotel to be extremely great value for money. It is located right next to the train station, supermarket, and heaps of great shops and the added bonus was the Christmas market on as well. We were there in winter and while it was cold and snowing outside the accommodation was very cosy and warm.

“Conveenient, comfortable...”

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and quite handy to the Altona S-Bahn stop. We arrived late, and were given a very large room with sleeping and sitting areas (sofa) for a very reasonable price. There was no staff on site... one checked in/out at the hotel next door, but the staff there was efficient and friendly, and there was a PA system connecting the fron door area with the reception desk next door. Although we were basically looking for just a place to sleep, this would have been very comfortable for a longer stay, as well.

“Das Central Hotel”

Also wir waren zu dritt in Hamburg um uns König der Löwen anzuschauen und haben uns für das Central Hotel entschieden. Es ist wirklich vollkommen in Ordnung wenn man das Hotel nur zum schlafen benutzt. Obwohl es genau gegenüber vom Bahnhof ist konnten wir super schlafe und wurden auch nicht durch irgendeinen Straßenlärm geweckt. Super ist es auch das man in ca. 20 min. zur Elbe laufen kann und das genau am Hotel Geschäfte wie der Lidl auch am Sontag auf haben. Das Personal ist wirklich super nett und allgemein würde ich nochmal einchecken wenn ich für ein Wochenende nach Hamburg fliegen würde.

“Gute Lage, doch ansonsten nichts”

Ich war zur Messezeit in diesem **-Hotel und hatte ein super kleines Einzelzimmer für Nichtraucher im Erdgeschoss. Durch nächtlichen Lärm (das Zimmer 41 lag direkt zwischen Aufenthaltsraum und Treppenhaus) sowie morgendlichen Lärm (um 6.00 Uhr wurde der ebenfalls im EG liegende offene Bereich für das Frühstück beliefert) war es unmöglich, ausreichende Ruhe zu finden. Der Versuch eines Zimmerwechsels um 22.00 Uhr wurde mit dem Hinweis, während der Messezeit würde jedes Zimmer auch noch nachts verkauft werden können, während mein benutztes Zimmer dann leer stehen bliebe, abgewiesen. Schade bei 30.- EURO Aufpreis hätte sich das für das Hotel doch fast gerechnet. So komme ich nicht wieder. Wer nachts dringend ein Zimmer benötigt und keinen Wert auf das Ambiente legt, kann hier hingehen. Ansonsten ist das Haupthaus nebenan mit Sicherheit besser (Best Western). Auch wenn es Expedia nicht freuen wird, die Fotos des Hotels stimmen nur sehr bedingt mit der Wirklichkeit überein.
