Staff welcoming and very helpful. Room was of high standard and clean. Hotels in the uk should look and learn. Myself and a friend enjoyed several days knowing the service would always be with a smile.
It was my first stay at the hotel. Although I arrived very late due to the night flight into the city, the staff was very friendly and immediately helped me check in. I was on a business trip, and the in-room internet connection was more than satisfactory to suit my needs to contact my home office. I cannot leave a comment about other business facilities (such as printing and scanning) that I have not used, though. The room was extremely tidy with pretty much everything I need to soothe up.
The location is very nice, with close proximity to the city's commercial and shopping areas. I could find pretty much anything I need within the next two blocks, such as some office supplies or extra clothes.
Only notable fault was that the mini bar was completely empty throughout during my stay. The staff on the ground floor, however, helped me buy beverages or snacks any time I wanted. Accordingly, I cannot find any fault on it either.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Marriott. The hotel is in an excellent location and I could walk to the speicherstadt, railway station, rathhaus, alster and fantastic shops very close to the hotel.
The hotel has a very cosy piano bar where good food and drink was served, the room was spacious and clean, and staff was professional, friendly and accommodating.
I am already looking forward to my next stay.
My partner and I can not speak German, but the staff made us welcome and had no problem with that as they could speak English.
We were suprised that our hotel card could save us on transport cost getting into and around Hamburg, and the bus stops were right outside our hotel.
The hotel was modern, clean and had everything we needed (except tea making things) but thats because we are Brittish and its the norm.
A proper 5 star hotel with admirably helpful staff (though not always precise, perhaps through language, as we do not speak German) . The facilities that we used were right up to expectations. The breakfast buffet was very good and the Italian restaurant gave us a memorable meal: superb.
Loved this place - it was so smart, clean and in a great location for the city centre and main station. Easy to get everywhere. The rooms were large and comfortable and everything worked. There were no marks on the walls - it all seemed so new. Quality of the fixtures and fittings superb. Staff excellent. I have no reservations in recommending you stay here.
