Small room, no English channels on TV, nice breakfast.

“not impressed”

small rooms, shabby lobby / reception area, hotel needs to be remodelled! Staff is not well informed ("Sorry, I just came here", "I don't know if there is a bus plan"). The big plus is the location close to the main-station (8-min. walk) and there is also a bus nearby.

“Yes and no!!”

This hotel was very good value for us as it was relatively cheap for a two night stay and we are fit enough to walk the considerable distance required to get anywhere. It is quiet and clean and we were very satisfied with the room. Sadly check-in and check-out were fairly stressful. I felt that the hotel were desperate to get more money from us and despite considerable discussion at check-in regarding no breakfast, one parking space for one night only, etc. attempts were made to charge us for breakfast and for parking that we had not used. I would recommend this hotel but be careful you are not charged for un-used extras.

“Clean & good value”

Hotel is very clean if somewhat spartan. Beware that a single room comes with a cot sized bed, narrower than a standard American twin size. This is not a criticism of the hotel, though, as this is not uncommon in Germany. The neighborhood could seem a bit creepy because it's practically deserted at night. However, your alternatives nearby are the roach motels in the seedy streets nears the central station, so at least this one is clean and quiet. If your evening plans are taking you out in the St. Georg neighborhood, this hotel is very close by and convenient. If you'll be spending your time in St. Pauli / Reeperbahn, then better to look for a hotel over there because this one would be a quite far. My favorite Hamburg haunts are in St. Georg so this place worked out perfectly.

“good but it was not such a central area”

The hotel was hard to find. The area around the hotel was mostly industrial and very busy in terms of traffic. We could walk to the main train station which was about a 10 minute walk away. Shopping was also about a 10 minute walk away. Our room was on the 4 floor and when you opened the window you were overlooking an empty parking lot and what appeared to be an empty office building. At each end of the parking lot was very heavily travelled one way streets. The staff was very good and always helpful Because it was a weekend we coulod park on the street iin front of the hotel but during the week you have to pay for parkinf which is 8 euros a day The room itself was fine. “Central and Pleasant”

Very central location - 10 minutes on foot from der Hauptbahnhof, about 15 minutes from Berliner-Tor (the station just before the central station if one takes the metro from the airport). Had a room on the top floor, though there is no spectacular view - the motorway on one side, the railway lines and offices on the other. A very pleasant and fairly-spacious en-suite room with a power shower and an overpriced mini-bar (though that didn't stop me!). Excellent continental breakfast with freshly brewed coffee; a range of cheeses, breads and croissants; and plenty of scrambled egg! Very helpful, professional and courteous staff all fluent in English.

“This place was okay”

It was a bit awkward to find at first, in relation to the Hamburg Central Train Station. It's rated 4/5 stars, I rank it 3/5.

“A two-star hotel”

The place is fine, clean, etc. but definitely not a 4 or even a 3-star hotel.

“Völlig charakterloser Beton-Säulen- Bau an einer sehr befahrenen Strasse”

Gebäude wird bestimmt durch eckige Betonsäulen, Feueralarm in der Nacht wegen erhöhten Rauchaufkommen auf der Raucheretage, keine Mitteilung an die Gäste, kein informativer Hinweis am kommenden Montag, Rezeption überfordert, Preis dafür o.k. Sehr nahe am Bahnhof. Unmittelbare Umgebung unerträglich.
