We came in the low season (January) and the hotel was virtually empty. The room rate was amazingly cheap. The downside was that staff understood very little (if any) English. We did make a request for our room to not be made up while we were on our Halong bay cruise. Despite this, staff did make up the room (they later apologised for not respecting our request) When we were packing to leave, we noticed one of our two e-readers was missing. After searching the room, we notified hotel staff who sent a team into the room. They also searched our room and our belongings (with our consent) They also reviewed security camera footage. We did receive an apology from the management, but we are still missing one e-reader!
We got a call the day before to notify us what time to wait at the hotel lobby. The shuttle came promptly and we were given a bottle of water. We stopped at this store for coffee, snacks or restroom for about 15 - 20 mins. Then off again we went. The next stop was to board our boat. Everything went smoothly and our room was wonderful. There was only one other group of 2 plus us to begin with and then later 2 more couples joined us for dinner (We were doing the overnight cruise). The food was continuous, there's only so much you can eat. It tasted okay - quite a bit of fried food. The excursions were fantastic. The scenery was magical and the waters were clear and rubbish-free. The next morning was a little rushed after we ate our lunch. Could have done with a little more time to relax before leaving the boat. Same going back to hotel. Overall great experience and not to be missed. Drinks aboard weren't too excessive - water $US1.50, bottle of wine $US30.00. Could not buy wine by the glass.
We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, the restaurant had nice well presented food.
If you are looking for a beach resort holiday I wouldn't choose this hotel until they have completed their expansion, once this has been done I can only imagine it will be the place to go.
Really enjoyable stay, hotel was on the front overlooking the bay, great pool, staff were friendly, room was nice. One tip - make sure you request a room at the front of he hotel overlooking the bay as the view is excellent, but only 50% of the rooms have this view.

I only stayed one night before heading to a cruise in the bay however found the hotel easy to find, very clean and had great helpful staff. I stayed in one of the Villa's outside the main hotel and they were very quiet (rare in Vietnam!), and the room was a great standard.

Food was amazing! Lots of variety and excellent quality. Rooms were just as pictured. Clean and comfortable. Can't tell you how friendly the staff was. They spoke fluent English and were eager to help. We dropped our camera into the bay and they literally dove into the water to retrieve it. I was amazed. The memory card had all of our photos. They saved our trip.
