“Halifax's best place to stay”
The westin in Halifax was the best hotel experiance I ever had. The staff was friendly the rooms were comfortable and clean. The bed was to die for and the sheets were excellent. We loved the bed so much we have one on order for at home.
“The best shower ever”
Our stay at the Westin was great. They have amazing sheets and the shower is to die for. I would stay there again, no question.
“My Home in Halifax”
The Westin was a great hotel to stay at. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the entertainment immensely. The food at the restaurant downstairs was extremely tasty! One of the best steaks (and entire meal) I have had in a long time. I felt comfortable and like I was at a home away from home. Great trip! My boyfriend was taking me on a trip to see Halifax...little did I know that his hope was that I would come back his fiance.
“look forward to staying again soon”
My stay at the Westin was awesome, the only reason for the 4 in comfort was the bed. Other hotels I've stayed in had exemplariy bedding and pillow top mattresses that made you want to never get up. Everything else was top notch!
“One of Halifax's finest”
Nothing bad to say about the hotel other than in the winter time, its location makes it hard to walk to key downtown locations in a hurry. Great comfort and service.
“It's a Westin, so it's nice but extras are pricey”
The hotel is in a great location -- near Keith's Brewery and the new waterfront Farmer's Market. The room was very clean and a good size, with two very comfortable beds. The healthclub is excellent -- A nice pool and hot tub and an exercise room with free weights, and the latest treadmills and ellipticals. Made exercising a joy, and it was included in the room price. And they even have a kids' room off of the Business Center with an Xbox and a Wii. ** TIP: Bring your own games -- their selection is not very good. The only issue I had was with the extras. Room service was outrageous -- dinner for our 2 kids was over $70 when we went out. Parking was $19/day for self-park. And there was no free wifi; instead they asked for $8 per day PER DEVICE for internet access. In my opinion this should be free and in many hotels it is. Check with the hotel -- these fees may change. But it was clean and convenient and if you don't need those extras then you can get some good rates there. But nothing
“Very nice stay at a bargain price.”
We stayed two days in this hotel and the service and the hotel were both very good. It was located within easy reach to downtown Halifax.
“Very nice hotel”
The hotel is situated at waterfront opposite pier 21. I have no complaint except the parking space is so narrow that it can only fit for small cars.
“No better stay in Halifax!”
Hotel couldn't be better! We arrived very late (due to flight problems) -- the late night staff welcomed us with such kindness --- even gave us cold bottled water knowing we had just gotten off a plane. Everyone who we interacted with was lovely! They even called a cab and had our luggage already in the trunk when it was time for us to leave.
“Fantastic weekend stay”
I booked two nights at the Westin for my boyfriend and I do do a mini-vacation. The room was bright, comfortable and incredibly clean, also quite roomy for such a large hotel. Our room was just a basic Queen - the bed was very comfortable, great linens. We had cocktails in the bar each night, the service was excellent. The location can't be beat for walking around the downtown and waterfront. We'll be back.
