“A night out”

Very good accomodation with fantastic views over the river, only had a 1 night stay and would like to stay longer. Would certainly stay again.

“Limited service, very basic rooms for the price, won't return.”

My husband and I stayed here over a weekend to attend a friend's birthday. We had difficulty finding somewhere, this was a last resort. Upon arrival we were literally thrown the keys by a man in biker gear who then almost ran off. We weren't informed of the breakfast or check-out time or any services in the pub which ran the B&B & couldn't catch the man to ask! Our room was basic and not particularly clean, we found cobwebs, spiders, flies and other peoples hair in the room. We constantly had people marching around the back of our room which didn't make for a particularly peaceful stay. Oddly the draws and wardrobes were stuffed full of sheets and bedding leaving little room to put any clothes. The bar staff when not serving spent their time moaning about other staff. We felt very unwelcome whenever we went in as if we were imposing on them. As a result we spent very little time there. Breakfast rated as one of the worst English breakfast we've had, greasy and over cooked. We asked for the best way to get the airport and around the area but weren't given any helpful advice. We definitely would not recommend this B&B they seemed only too happy to take your money and completely disinterested in providing any service. They don't do themselves any favours by inly supplying only a phone number on their website making it difficult to contact them from outside the UK. There are plenty of lovely, much cheaper and better quality B&Bs around in the area run by families.
