"Great to stay to see Haikou, close to 2 BOC moneyx"
Bank of China is where you change foreign currency. Doesn't matter if you turn left or right at front of hotel, if you cross the road and keep walking you will find a BOC. Hotel staff very accommodating and speak little to moderate English. Need to speak slow. Breakfast tasty and affordable. Be adventurous. You may find a favourite food. I had friends to take me on the bus and taxi etc. but I'm sure that staff would give you the info if needed. It is helpful to print out any hotel name and address to get directions or give directions to taxi's etc. There are searches you can do on the internet to get these. Buses cost 1RMB for short distance and 2 RMB for longer trips within Haikou. It also costs 6.5RMB for the fast train to/from Haikou train station at the ferry terminal where you arrive if you travel by train from the mainland. Sometimes you need to wait 1 hour for the train. Fast trains run to schedule as far as I know but I have found long distance trains to be late in my 2 experiences.
A beautiful and luxurious hotel with an immaculate swimming pool, cleaned daily. Beautiful sea views (but note that swimming in the sea is not permitted due to dangerous hidden currents). Huge rooms and bathrooms, with free wifi in many rooms. Amazing at the internet price! Breakfast buffet a bit steep, but a huge array of Asian and Western breakfast foodstuffs. Highly recommended for businesspeople and holidayers alike.

Hainan has been labeled China's Hawaii, and on a recent business trip to Guangzhou, I decided to spend the weekend in Haikou (about a 1 hr flight from Guangzhou).
While Hainan and Haikou does not come close to Hawaii either in beauty or amenities, the Sheraton Haikou Resort, located on Holiday Beach, a 3 mile long beach to the west of Haikou, is a world-class resort. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. with easy access to the beach.
The rooms are nicely decorated and have many touches one would expect to find in a luxury boutique hotel (e.g. free standing "designer" bathtub). Good restaurants, and one of the best breakfasts I've had while in China.
The spa has a mineral hot spring that's fed from a source 700 meters below the ground.
