“"Worst place we stayed in Malta!"”

Hotel itself looks lovely - sea view etc. Apartments where we stayed were three streets back from the sea, with no views. If you were as unlucky as us, our view was into the entrance hall, meaning we had to keep the curtains shut all the time as didn't fancy everyone looking in, or passers by on the street being able to enter and look into the room! Cockroach in the bathroom on the first night. Second night we had a large group of youths turn up at 10.30pm making one hell of a racket. Then more noise at 2.30am when they came back from drinking, and at 6.30am when they left again! When complained to the hotel, the receptionist just said 'Oh you're not the only ones to complain!" - not very good service in my opinion! Youths also kept pranking the phone at 2.30am so had to unplug it. We stayed here two nights yet for the same cost elsewhere on Malta and Gozo had a much better time. Wouldn't recommend the apartments but I'm sure the hotel is nice. Also, although when in apartments you have use of the hotel pool, it's unlikely you'll use it as it means walking there and back, and going up to the 7th floor.

“3rd time unlucky.”

The hotel is ideally situated for getting about in Malta and public transport stops outside the door. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, in a prime sea front position and the staff very helpful. On arrival we were not given our pre-booked sea view room and had to be moved the following day also the lift was not working for the biggest part of our stay. The only other thing is that the sheets are not big enough for the bed and you finish up sleeping on the matress! We have now stayed three times at the Bay View and overall the hotel is very good value for money and no doubt we will be going back again.

“One to miss!”

Good location, good rooms but take your ear plugs (might not be enough) as the doors are heavy metal and when they are closed the noise can be be heard no matter which floor your on. If they have a better offer be aware you will be bumped - the alternatve was very poor!

“Bayview”

Excellent position, very handy for everything & we were lucky enough to get an appartment overlooking the bay. Staff were extremely helpful and very keen to help.

“A good deal and location”

We stayed in the main hotel - in a studio room with kitchenette facilities- the room also had a balcony and a sea view. The hotel was a very pleasing place to stay - with easy access to Valletta. I wouldn't however, bother with breakfast - it was a bit of a bun fight!

“Not even if it was the last hotel left on the planet....”

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy... We arrived later than expected due to a flight delay - the 2 bedroom apartment (862) we were allocated was similar to those seen on "Hotels from hell" and other programmes. Mouldy bathroom, brown stained toilet, dead squashed flies all over the walls, blood on the pillows, a view you would expect from a prison cell. We requested to be moved after spending a sleepless night here and were informed we could be relocated to a penthouse apartment. (8..something) It was a top floor apartment with a concrete balcony, with a rusty bathroom and much in the same condition - we refused to move here. We were finally shown a 2 bedroom apartment (7306) - which was clean but in an old condition and had a funny smell lingering in it. To top it off the keycard didn't work to the main entrance - when we informed reception they seemed surprised we hadn't been given the code... The keycard then continued to play up throughout the holiday which late at night involved a trek down and up a steep hill to the hotel. Finally on the last day returning from a trip to Gozo we discovered housekeeping had left our apartment door wide open! The manager of the hotel was very helpful but we only saw her once, the other staff didn't seem surprised and some even bothered with our issues. They tried their best in a already sinking ship...

“excellent apartment experience”

We were very happy with the apartment we were put into which had two bedrooms at the back away from the noise of a very busy road. The balcony had a lovely view over the harbour towards the old town of Valletta. The apartments were a few doors down from the hotel. Very convenient for both buses and the ferry over to Valleta. Huge choice of places to eat. Sliema is basically just high rise hotels and restuarants along the harbour but it does benifit from overlooking the water to Valletta with its lovely old stone buildings.
