“Will stay again if returning to Guernsey”

Friendly and quick check-in, excellent breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff. Didn't have time to play golf but walked into St Peterport and bus stop not far from hotel. for return trip. Swimming pool also very nice.

“great spa and gym. if in guernsey would stay there as first choice.”

Staff were most attentive and cheerful. The pool and spa facilities were excellent. The grounds were well tended and had a 9 hole golf course. Everything else was as you would wish for and expect in a modern hotel

“everything we needed”

Everything we needed for a short break including spa, health club, etc. Room a bit dated but clean and comfortable with own balcony overlooking lake. Swimming pool was good. Food and service very good. A downhill walk into town. Bus into town stops right outside hotel and from there it was easy and cheap to get to most attractions - although buses don't seem to run much after 7pm

“Good facilities at hand”

A lovely Island - good for sea food! Easy public transport system and reasonable taxi service too.

“A nice hotel set pretty grounds.”

A very nice clean and tidy room with a modern en-suite, The staff were polite, helpful and attentive. Maybe a couple of cosmetic issues otherwise I would have marked it at 4.6. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It's on a main bus route and the service is cheap and frequent. There is also a large supermarket closeby.

“A very good hotel, excellent staff, good food.”

A very pleasant hotel. The staff were very frienldy and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and the one dinner we had at the hotel was very good. In terms of comfort, everything was just as we expected, though the bed was a little soft for our taste. We didn't use the leisure facilities, but from what we saw, they seemed to be of a high quality. Our only negative comment - and this is something that the hotel cannot really control - was the presence of very noisy guests in the early hours of the morning, talking very loudly and boisterously as they walked along the corridor, unconcerned about fellow guests. One experiences these sort of selfish people in other hotels, but there is little that can be done about them. They didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the hotel. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

“Residents are 2nd class at this hotel”

Overall not a bad hotel but when this hotel holds conferences/evening celebrations etc, residents are of little concern at this hotel. When they have any kind of outside party then they cut off two thirds of the bar so you will be shunted off to one side (131 rooms and you only have 7 tables when this happens), you can't access the main entrance to the bar when this happens, but have to go off to one side to gain entrance, hardly a welcome! And to top it off you will get a sheet of paper pushed under your room door telling you that there will probably be music/noise/disturbance until 12.45, so is a case of put up and shut up as there is no way to get round this. Would never go back with that kind of attitude, felt more like a nuisance than a guest!
