Fantastic hotel and very friendly staff
Stayed at the de Havelet for 5 nights. From the moment we arrived the staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was very clean and well appointed and the bedroom had aircon. The swimming pool and spa area was very clean and a nice area to relax after a days sightseeing. The restaurant food was of a good standard and all the staff were helpful.

Fantastic stay for a short break to Guernsey. Great service and wonderful proximity to St Peter Port. Bit of a steep hill but doable. We enjoyed everything.

Fridge, air con, daily fruit, bath & shower, huge bed, big room with settee, sockets aplenty, no outside corridor, all made for a comfortable stay. The one requested repair was done within the hour. Staff were in a league of their own, falling over to be helpful.

Beautiful hotel. Our room was very warm and the air con didnt work very well but there was a plug in fan which helped. The small pool and spa area is nice. Only downside is the very steep hill between hotel and the port area. There is a shuttle a few times a day but it may not be a suitable hotel for people with mobility issues.

A great find
A lovely hotel, super clean room. Spa with sauna, steam and heated pool was perfect. The restaurant next door (also used for breakfast) was excellent too and the courtyard for alfresco drinks was a great little sun trap. A special thanks to all the staff in the hotel and next door in the Copenhagen restaurant who where friendly & helpful. The hotel is on a hill which may not suit some with motility issues. Although there is a shuttle bus to the harbour area.

Nice overnight staycation.

Pleasantly surprised by the Hotel de Havelet. We went for an upgraded room and were very pleased we did. The air-conditioner was a welcome treat for the hot summer nights. We weren't expecting a pool and hot tub either which was a nice treat at the end of the day!

Brilliant hotel
Stayed here for a week and what a wondaful place to stay Hotel is very clean with friendly staff. Rooms are large and very well equipped. Breakfast has plenty to choose from and all hot breakfasts are cooked on request. First class in every way. .

This hotel is excellent. All the staff are conscientious, hard working and extremely pleasant. We would particularly like to commend Joana on reception who went above and beyond to help us. Attila ,the restaurant manager and his team- Pitchie, Stephanie, Marian and Alessia. They were all very friendly and made our stay most enjoyable.The house keeping team were also excellent and so was the handy man who helped solve a problem for us.We thoroughly enjoyed all the lovely breakfasts we had there and the evening meals, The breakfast spread is extremely good and the cooked breakfasts were all of a consistently high standard. The evening menu/meals were also very good. We enjoyed Mick's complimentary bus tour of the island on Tuesday afternoon and would thoroughly recommend booking a place on that as it gives a nice overview of the island and helped us decide where we wanted to explore later in the week. The only thing we didn't like quite so much was the VERY steep hill the hotel is on. We found a slightly gentler walk down to St. Peter's port through the narrow quaint lanes but after a couple of attempts to walk back up we opted for local taxis. The taxi rank is near the roundabout with the flags on it. The charges were between £5 and £7 which we thought was a small price to pay.

The le Havelet room that i booked,unbeknwnst by me, had a conference room adjacent. The hotel apologized for the inconvenience but i would not have access to the Lobby because the passageway would be locked. The only Egress/access was down 5 steep stairs from a door opening direct to outdoors. I walk with a cane and managed but some may have difficulties.(#twenty. )staff were excellent, cafe food was superb. View from cafe and cafe terrace was Lovely. Clean and friendly hotel. No compaints, only cautionaries for those with physical challenges. I took a point off in my review because the hotel shuttle bus to town and points of shopping doesn,t operate on Sundays. (Public Busses don't either, post covid crises. .)taxi or Your own car is a must.

Enjoyable, comfortable stay
This hotel is a great place to stay. The staff were extremely pleasant, respectful and helpful. Our bedroom was very comfortable and was a good size, pleasantly decorated. The food at Breakfast was exceptional, truely delicious, with excellent & efficient service. I can’t comment on other meals, as I didn’t have dinner there, but I’m sure it’s a great experience if Breakfast is anything to go by. The indoor pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi were very good and it was great to have use of that facility. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and I’ll definitely come back again when next in Guernsey.
