Great location and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and a great choice. The view from the room was a little disappointing; just a wall so no scenery. We plan a return trip as only stayed 3 days and there is so much more to see i.e. Herm and Sark.
We stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed our stay tremendously. We had a good room rate from Expedia and stayed in the venue on the road at the front of the hotel. It was a little noisy when people left the functions being held below us on the ground floor, but it was short lived and the quality of the room and all the little extras compensated.
The breakfast was excellent served in the ocean restaurant which also housed the bar. The outside terrace had amazing sea and valley views which we thoroughly enjoyed. We ate twice in the evening and both nights had excellent service and great food.
The rooms in the main part of the hotel looked like they had wonderful views over the valley and sea.
To reach the hotel from the venue you walk through a beautiful manicured downhill garden, a little steep going back up!
All staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous.
We definitely recommend this hotel.
Tip = when you arrive you can park at the venue car park on the main road and walk down through the gardens to get to reception as the carpark by the reception entrance gets rather crowded.

As a regular, visiting our son on Guernsey over the past 5 years, we have stayed in some nice hotels and this is certainly one of the best.
On arrival we were pleasantly suprised to be upgraded to one of their spacious Superior rooms. Positioned on the first floor (they are also to be found on the ground floor), it had it's own balcony and a superb sea view. It was very comfortable, contained a massive Queen size bed and was a a well appointe bedroom and bathroom.
From the time we checked in the staff were excellent, friendly and always on hand if required.
Dining facilities and the breakfast menu were very good. You can serve yourself with everything to satisfy even the most robust of appetites.
We dined in the a la carte restaurant on one of the nights and the menu for both fish and meat lovers is extensive and all was beautifully presented. We also took advantage of the Sunday Carvery, which is again, tasty and bountiful. If you are a cake lover, then for you, this is likely to be paradise. I say no more but be prepared to work off the pounds following your stay.
The Hotel is nicely appointed throughout, has well kept gardens and tremendous views. St Martins is a delighful area of the Island and even if you do not have use of a car, the local bus stops conveniently outside the Hotel. For walkers its' well situated on the glorious Guernsey costal path.
Well done everyone at the hotel, it will certainly be our first choice the next time we visit the island.
When I arrived it was quite late my friends who picked me up from the ferry terminal took me on a trip around Guernsey. Andy the owner told me not to worry he showed me to my room and my friends and I commented on the room, very nice loved it. Not much of a view but the comfort was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent, good choice menu. The location was just right. Saw Andy next morning to thank him again. Would recommend the Yacht Inn to anyone.
First night dinner was a little confusing as we were told there was no fish on the menu but later saw other guests order fish! Second night's dinner made up for this lapse and was excellent. Room air conditioner a godsend in the hot nights of September but needed a stairway to the stars to turn on or off and then was very temperamental. Even with degrees the lighting system was virtually undecipherable.
Overall a pleasant 4-day break.

These folks care about their guests. This is especially helpful to tourists who need advice about the roads, sights and how to fulfill their expectations. From the hotel reception to the restaurant staff, all went out of their way to meet our needs. Rooms are small, but the property is large with beautiful gardens, a large pool, and a range of extra services to meet your needs. Extra friendly to cyclist and hikers.
