Hotel location is good, and staff is courteous. But rooms need remodeling.

Location is good in downtown, staff are kind and the quality of breakfast is good. Meanwhile, furniture in the room looks a little old.

I can say that it is reasonably safe and people in general were helpful in Guayaquil. And there are basic facilities for international travellers.

“Hamption Inn of Guayqauil”

We planned a trip to Cuenca, Ecuador, but due to flight schedules we were required to spend the night in the city of Guayaquil. We book a hotel through Expedia and selected the Hampton Inn of Guayaquil. It was the only chain hotel in the downtown area. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to the airport because they have a hotel pickup kiosk. Then disappointed when there was no listing for Hampton Inn. The traveler information desk was kind enough to call the hotel for us and arranged a pickup. The hotel was great and the staff went out of their way to help and provide translation and directions to local sights.

We arrived on a late flight, then waited for the shuttle to return from a trip, then waited for some bags to arrive - one hour of sleep: gone! Had an early flight to Cuenca the next morning.

“It was OK! but not impressed...”

The hotel was ok. Nice and helpful people. Breakfast was good. everyday the breaksfast menu was changed. location was good.

I though I would found a better hotel, it needs a face lift, though location is good.
