“Poor Service - - Loud workers at 7am”
The parking staff was friendly, but that's where it stopped. The front desk personel in the dayside was not friendly. Once I came down to ask for something, and they did not even acknowledge me. One particular day I slept in late, and housekeeping knocked on the the door. I asked them to come back later. They said ok. As a result, they never came at all. When I called the front desk, they told me the housekeeping staff was gone for the day. So I asked if I could at least get towels. They said ok. I waited 4 hours and finally went downstairs to ask the front desk person myself.
It was very hard to sleep in the morning, as they were fixing the pool area. The workers started around 7:30 with constant loud banging. When I called to complain they said they would have the workers begin after 8am. I thought that was fair. But they continued to start their banging each morning between 7 and 7:30.
I have stayed at the Intercontinental many times, around the block. Their service is MUCH better and worth the extra.
