“Master Suites are Awesome!”

Our room was big and beautiful. The view wasn't perfect and the hood is noisy, but the room was so nice we didn't want to go outside anyway. The indoor pool is nice, the water is heated and the jacuzzi is steamy. The service was great, very friendly and everyone speaks english. The room service food was pretty good, we ordered the club sandwich and lasagna.....both very tasty! If you have the continental breakfast with your room, make sure you wake up early or else its all gone. Nothing special about it either, fruit, bread, cereal....that's about it...but its continental, what do you expect? Overall though, I would stay here again and would recommend it to others:)

“Beautiful Hotel”

This hotel is beautiful...it's kept very clean, and the staff are absolutely some of the most conscientious, welcoming people I've ever met in my life...they definitely went out of their ways to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of! The food in the second floor restaurant is wonderful...pasta, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and fabulous breakfasts...yum. The only downfall was the bed in our room, which had some kind of a weird board in between the mattress and box spring, which caused a bit of discomfort, but other than that, we'd greatly recommend this hotel to anyone!

“Adoption visit trip”

The Grand Tikal was very nice for our first visit trip for our son who we are adopting. It is not crawling with adoptive families (although there were a few families there who were adopting and/or visiting). They do have an adoption lounge in the hotel (which we found out about after our trip...so ask about it). It is very easy to find English-speaking staff. They were very accommodating when we needed things for our baby. Airport shuttle service was very reliable if you made prior arrangements. The breakfast in the second floor restaurant is very good. The entire hotel is clean, private, and very nice. They do not have coffee makers in the rooms nor do they rent out cell phones or strollers. However, there is a mall attached that has a pharmacy and pretty much everything that you need. It is a wonderful place and we hope to stay there again when we pick up our son to bring him home. It has a pool, gym, and a pretty view of the volcanos very early in the morning. We really liked this hotel.

“Great Place to Stay If you can't go out”

We were on an adoption visit trip and couldn't leave the hotel with our baby. We stayed inside the hotel for 7 days. The hotel has a mall with a food court that has many fast food restraunts so it worked out great. The food in the hotels restraunts were really good as well. The hotel was really nice except the carpet in our room needed a good deep cleaning. The hotel staff was great and very friendly. The pool is nice and feels like you are swimming in the jungle. The workout facility has everything you would want to get a good workout as well. I would definately reccomend this hotel.

I have stayed at the Grand Tikal on three trips and heading back for 1 or 2 more stays. I love it! The staff is wonderful! The mall, pharmacy, and food court is a great convenience.

“A great job by staff and management”

The Grand Tikal Futura staff and management did a great job in meeting our every need during our one week stay. From the porter to the concierge to the cleaning staff to the management, a fine job was done by all. We'd highly recommend it for it's accomodations, cleanliness and amenities.

“A perfect choice for a family visit”

We chose the Grand Tikal Futura Hotel since it is the closest hotel to where our family members live which cut our daily commute in half. The rooms were very clean and the food was quite good. It's a bit on the noisy side as you can hear what's going on in the room next to you but nothing that can't be fixed by calling the front desk and have them take care of it. We read a comment about the a/c being set at 22 centigrades but that was not the case. But, I have to admit it's not in the nicest neighborhood so beware of that.
