“Good Hotel - Short Stay”

Most of the Crowne Plaza´s I've stayed in are old hotels re-done to modern standards. This was wxactly the case. The walls and the furniture were old but in good condiiton and made to look adequate under today's standards in 5 star hotels. The Crowne Plaza is somewhat forgotten since it is not in the "Zona Viva" (the hip and trendy place) which is 5 minutes (cab-drive) so it is not the type of hotel for families or vacationers who want to walk near-by and grab a bite to eat. This hotel is close to the airport and has shuttle service (very timely I must add) whicj is a great plus for us business travellers. I had the benefit of staying in the executive floor which is really very nice. Great personal service, snacks, drinks, etc....even meeting rooms.....and a small but convenient business room exlcusive for the executive floor. Wifi service all around....a huge plus if you are blackberry, ipad and laptop addict. All in all a good hotel, priced accordingly, clean, well serviced and appropiate for travellers on business to Guatemala (which was my case).

“Very satisfying stay”

The hotel and its service were everything that they promised to be. The hotel staff are extremely attentive and helpful, especially the staff at the restaurant. In all honesty, I did not go out much because I was travelling alone and I was told that it was not advisable to go out alone, however, the surrounding area looks perfectly safe. The hotel is a great option considering its price and quality.

Crowne plaza has all the ammenities one needs for a comfortable stay in the city of Guatemala. If security is a concern when coming here everybody inspires comfort and safety when you arrive to the hotel. Everything is close by especially the airport and they have a great service when it comes to picking you up from the airport, very professional. Food is excellent and they have a variety of things to do at the hotel, there is a pool if you are traveling with kids and a casino area and a bar for the adult crowd.

Fantastic staff who are fluent in English. Our stay was an overnight layover for early flight. Room was beautiful with special treats to go along with the in-room coffee. Only complaint would be the confusion of how to call for airport pickup. We were told to wait outside by the door, but no vehicle showed up. After an hour without pick up, we found an employee who would let us use their phone. (Once you leave the airport, you are not allowed back in to use the payphones in arrivals.) If you do not have mobile phone, make sure you call hotel before you leave the airport.

“Exceeded our expectations”

We expected a standard room but got an executive room with all the trimmings, including a great breakfast. The room was extremely comfortable. We only wish we'd stayed here at the beginning of our trip, as well.

Everyone was very friendly got helped right away, the room was very clean and was very comfortable.

“Convenient Location”

The Crowne Plaza is convenientely located, with a few restaurant and supermarket options in the vicinity. The breakfast buffet is the best in the whole city.

The shuttle waited for us on time, both ways. The room was nice and clean. A good experience overall.
