“Five Star at it's best!”

The service at this hotel was bar none. My colleuagues and I stayed here during the Canton Fair mid-October and found the hotel to be very convenient and comfortable. The staff was very service oriented and would anticipate you're every need. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

“Best located hotel for Guangzhou Trade Shows”

Excellent service throughout our stay, from arrival by plane from London to departure by train to Hong Kong. The trade show location is walking distance from the hotel, so there was enough time to enjoy the swimming pool and restaurants at the Hotel. My wife and I enjoyed our stay.

Area recommendations

Visit to the City Centre, Guangzhou, especially late evening for dinner, is recommended, The buildings on the Pearl River is beautifully lit up, dinner was excellent - memorable visit.

“Wonderful Hotel”

We spent 3 days at Shangri-La Guangzhou and enjoyed every moment of it. Wonderful staff particularly in the Horizon Club, who helped us with all our questions from sightseeing to booking train tickets. Happy hour from 5-7pm was well worth going to with beautiful canapes and pastries,and a superb view of the Pearl River. Would always stay here again on our trips to Guangzhou .

“Recommend for Exhibition visitors/exhibitors”

My husband and I stayed for 6 days. We loved every bit of our stay. Would recommend paying the extra for the Horizon Club. The views of the Pearl River were awesome from our suite and the Horizon Club room. Perfect location for the Exhibition Centre. We were able to relax and invite guests for small informal meetings at the Club....Happy Hour is from 5pm to 7pm. The service from the Horizon Club is impeccable...could not fault. We were also able to have a formal meeting in the board room which is located in the Horizon Club Lounge. Make sure you do the river cruise at night. Subway (there's a McDonald's located here) is on 5 minutes walk from hotel. The only downside as other reviewers have stated, is that by taxi it is 30 to 60 minutes from downtown locations.

“It really a wonderful place to stay.”

The Hotel is really marvelous place to stay and I was impressed by arrange the room twice a day. The city was very hot and some time difficult to go outside, I enjoyed of the hotel's facilities such as indoor/outdoor pools, live music and food in the restaurants.
