Very nice hotel, especially for the low price!

Posted 27-Feb-2015
We have just returned from our 11 night stay at this hotel. It was a very cheap stay about $53NZD per night and we were very pleasantly surprised at the room. It was luxurious and comfortable. The staff were great, most of them had a bit of English and they tried very hard to help as much as they could. The room was serviced daily. The Cantonese restaurant was far cheaper than the western restaurant and the food was nice. The location was a bit far from the city attractions but a taxi never cost us more than 30RMB sometimes as little us 16RMB. The reception can call a taxi for you when you leave in the morning and write the location down in Chinese. They have a map they can email you in Chinese to show the taxi driver where the hotel is. There is a small store almost outside the hotel and a few blocks away there are some great markets and a very large store that sells everything you could ever need as well as some small restaurants. The only downfall is a few of the nights we had someone staying either beside or above us and the noise of the plumbing whenever they used the tap or the toilet was very loud in our room. Other than that it is an excellent place to stay just be aware it is not located right in the city.

Nice hotel in center area!

Posted 05-Feb-2015
Pros: Its really clean.
Cons: English speaking staff.
Location: Not a great location if you plan on walking.
The staff doesnt speak english except for a few phrases so dont expect them to be helpful when asking. In general, the room and facilities are great. There is free wifi, though the speed is kind of slow. Around 60 TV channels, but only 2 of them in english. Definitely not on of the best hotels I've been to, but you get a lot of value for the price.

Good hotel

Good hotel but the air con seems doesn't work well, even I turned down the temp. to 16C°, it still keep the room temp. to around 24. But it is fine because I am living there at winner. No MTR nearby, but you can still take the bus with it is just at downstairs. Over all, it is good, clean, cheap, nice service, good food.

Nicely designed hotel!

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. This is above level in China. Not a typical Chinese hotel. Especially, there were hardly smelling cigarette smoke!! With this price, I would definitely come back!

立地は悪いけど、低価格、高品質。

Posted 11-Dec-2014 on Hotels.com

My favorite hotel in China......so far

Posted 28-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com
I usually stay at the china hotel but must admit Royal Tulip should be rated higher. Breakfast was a downside however it's a buffet at 88 chef can do better and except for a rigid female check in supervisor(wears a blue jacket) every staff that I met was pleasant and very friendly. I was trying them out for 2 days but ended up staying for 7 more days. I will highly recommend them and the rates are good for a 4.5 star hotel. Don't be intimidated by the no window..,,,rooms are very very clean and big.
