“Convenient Canton Fair Location”

Small, clean rooms near metro station makes this a reasonable option for Canton Fair attendees. Commute to Pazhou is very convenient and takes about 30 minutes (Straight on line 8 for 7 Stops). As you would expect, English language ability can be quite limited, breakfast buffet is low quality. There are many dining options within walking distance including western chains: McDonalds, Pizza Hut.

“D & D China Adventures”

The Rosedale is great. We thought it was the wrong hotel at first due to the luxurious western look and feel compared to the tariff for the room. Staff are friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable. Nice Gym and pool also. 2 restaurants and a coffee lounge in the hotel. The location is good to travel by metro throughout Guangzhou as a metro station is next to the hotel. Good mix of Chinese and western fast food close to the hotel. Would definitely go back again and would recommend.

Overall Rosedale hotel is strategically located nearby shopping mall, IT centre, fast food chains and local food outlets. Also, just outside the hotel there is underground Metro train station which makes travelling around the whole of Guangzhou so easy and conevenient. Both taxis and public buses are also easily available just outside the hotel vicinity. I have stayed in this hotel twice already and I do strongly recommend it to anyone who wishes to travel to Guangzhou to stay at this hotel for connectivity and convenientience in terms of shopping, food and transport.

“Good hotel in Guangzhou”

This was a one night stop on our way from Hong Kong into China. We're a family of 4 and were able to sleep fairly comfortably in one room. Our kids are both under 12 and the beds are somewhere between twin size and double size. For longer stays with a family I'd suggest 2 rooms. The rooms were great - good size, nice furniture, full tub, shower, plenty of hot water (all important when selecting a hotel in China). Overall service was good. The staff speak enough English to take care of basic needs - billing, extra towels, etc. - and are very willing to help. Several floors were non-smoking which we especially appreciate because of the kids. The free wired Internet was great and they provide the cable in your room. My only complaint was that the A/C in our room was out. Air was coming out, but it the unit was obviously not cooling. I called the front desk after 11pm (admittedly a bit late) and they never came. However, they keep the building fairly cool so we were comfortable most of the night. There are plenty of Chinese restaurants next to the hotel as well as a Pizza Hut and a KFC. If you need more of a western food fix than that you're going to have to travel a bit farther. If you are willing to do the Guangzhou subway, the Changgang station (line 2) is right next to the hotel. The subway will get you to any number of railway stations as well as to the airport. DON'T make the mistake of using the Jiangnanxi station even though the hotel address is on that road.

Getting around

The subway in Guangzhou is great. Single journey tickets are available and that's all we used since we were only in town for one night. However, rush hour can get wild so if you plan to stay longer you might want to buy a pass. I've heard they even have passes that work on the buses and taxis, but you'll have to dig that info up for yourself. If you like traveling by train in China, the subway system will get you to any of the train stations in town. It's also a convenient place to pass through on your way to Hong Kong. The intercity train will take you about 2 hours. You'll have to do customs and immigration on each end, but the wait isn't too bad. Generally they're pretty good about letting you take snacks for the ride as long as you don't bring fruit in.

“Super location 100percent!”

Great hotel located less then 1mins from the metro station. 2mins from large shopping mail. KFC, Mc D's and Pizza Hut 2 mins away. 24 hour shop downstairs. The best located hotel in the city.

“Good Bargain For Money, Good Location, Good Hotel, Will check-in again if I come this way.”

Check-in into the hotel was good and smooth except that although we had booked a room with a king bed we were told that there were no rooms left with king beds. Surprise!!! We get upgraded to the executive suite without even asking. The surrounding area is great with many shops inlcuing Pizza Hut, McDonalds and KFC right next to the hotel. Including many 7eleven shops. Bad news about the surroundings, too many thiefs. We lost our camera on the first day itself, stolen by the shop keeper himself when we turned around to look at other things. Problem is when you ask them they deny it or pretend that they do not understand English. So be careful it gets worse when you visit the Guangzhou Shopping Street. Lodging a complaint is also useless as it takes you hours to explain to them what happened and how it happened. Back to the hotel, Very good rooms, clean rooms and I would recommend it to anyone.

“amazin location”

i went to guangzhou to visit an exhibition being held at the Pazhou complex. The location was the amazing! The subway station entrance is less than 20 meters from this hotel, mcdonalds is located at a building adjacent to the hotel, seven eleven is located at the hotel entrance, pizza hut and KFC are right next door and there is a beautiful shopping street in the same vicinity. Above all I was upgraded to a two rooms suite!
