“Citi central”

For the price that you pay, it is a good place. It is right at the city central and plenty things to do. A lots of restaurants and music going on. I had great fun! It is kind of far to stay for Guanajato though that is where I was intended to go but I found plenty things to do in Leon itself. Beautiful churches. Loved the billard game! Will definitely go back to visit!

Area recommendations

Several beautiful churches!!! There is a theater not far from the hotel. Just hang out at the plaza area, it was fun! Got to pet the polices' horses. There was a light show in the evening after dark. Our hotel has different singer every night. Some of them are quite good. It is a great place to buy leather shoes!!!

When to go

I went there the middle of Oct. Weather was great. Do need sweater in the evening/night. Guanajuato had their international music fest and it was a lot of fun. Leon has its own theater fest soon after. A lots happening. I had a very good experience!

Getting there

Apparently the airport is in between Leon and Guanajato. So I wouldn't stay in Leon for Guanajato again but Leon does have its own charm!

“its an ok hotel”

The hotel looks pretty old in the inside. Great location, everything is within walking distance. The only thing i didn't like was the staff was not very helpful. requessted certain things to my rm. they never came to bring me what i needed. i called them 4 times all they said was "I will check on it" and never did.

“Perfect Centro location”

We were looking for a tourist experience of the old central part of Leon. This hotel delivered that. The front of the hotel faces the largest of several squares linked by pedestrian streets. Parking and vehicle access is from a side street, keeping the front limited to pedestrian traffic. The restaurant, which delivers reasonably priced, middle of the road fare, has large glass windows looking out into the square at ground level. We sat in the window and watched the world go by. The centro here is more like a busy Mexican town than a modern downtown commercial area, with stores and restaurants catering to the average resident. The staff accommodated us well, service was good, although guests with no Spanish might have some small difficulty. People here on business, and having a car, would likely choose one of the newer hotels outside the core of the city.
