Very simple hotel at an affordable price

Posted 04-Sep-2014
Pros: Price compared to other hotels in the area.
Cons: AC leaking.
Location: Located 5 minutes drive from the main restaurants and shops area.
It is the second time I sleep in this hotel. It is a very simple hotel with basic amenities. The double room is large with a couch, a desk, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom is clean. One can tell that the hotel is quite old according to the stained carpet and bathroom floor but it is not extreme and the staff seem to take care of the hotel otherwise. This hotel is well-suited for cost-conscious travelers.

Good for layover

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Pros: It was safe, quiet, had wifi, and was walking distance from a nice cafe.
Cons: The room smelled like cigarettes.
Safe, affordable place for a layover. My room smelled of cigarettes, but the staff were polite and sprayed it down with air freshener when I asked. Not an amazing place, but if you are just traveling through it is as good a place to sleep as any.

Pros: In town, near stores, malls and restaurants.
Cons: Room carpet needs to be changed. Room furniture needs to be replaced.
Overall stay was ok. Staff was nice. Room was non smoking, but it smelled like smoke. Room furniture needs to be changed. The down side was it didn't have an elevator, so we had to carry our luggage to the 3rd floor. The room size was big, I liked that it has a couch, tv, refrigerator, desk and closet. The room is decent and furnished. The only thing that needs improvement are, carpet needs to be replaced and new furniture needs to be put in.

Not worth a buck

Posted 03-Jun-2014
Pros: None at all.
Cons: They need to renovate. Pictures in the website are deceiving.
Location: It is near the beach.
Red flags went flying when surrounding buildings went out of business and abandoned. Lobby was hot and humid. I arrived a little past after 3 and checked out after 10 minutes. I was assigned room 314 (not sure) on the third floor. There's no elevator. Hallway was dirty and carpet's smeared and smelled. I checked out the room. It is very hot and dirty and unclean. So, I left and went to another hotel, whom my friend recommended. Palm Ridge is more affordable, yet clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

Good Value for Money

Posted 03-May-2014
Cons: The carpet in the corridor should be replaced. This would make it a great value for money.
Location: ROSS is near. There are many restaurants and bars.
The hotel is fine and the staff are excellent. I lied the bed, it was especially comfortable. The location is very good.

Nice simple hotel

Posted 17-Apr-2014
Pros: Efficiency of staff at check-in and check-out.
Cons: Heat inside the hallway...it is very warm
Location: A little far from the main restaurants and shops but it is worth the savings for anyone on a budget.
Nice simple hotel, maybe a little bit isolated from the rest of the action. The hotel staff was very pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and simple. Perfect for a short stay.

Appearances online did not match reality

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: The staff was pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Hotel needs major improvements physically.
Location: Was on the main street in town and easy to get to.
The old air conditioner was so noisy we could not hold a normal conversation with ease, and made it difficult to sleep. The beds were hard and the couch was old with holes. Bathroom sink woodwork was rotting at the base. Carpeting was old, stained, and frayed. There were no places to hang wet towels in the bathroom and no wash cloths provided. The price was too high for what was offered.

Not happy with my stay overnight.

Posted 22-Mar-2014 on Hotels.com
I was not happy with my stay at this hotel, I had to climb up 3 flight of stairs to get to my room, the hallway was smoky and dim, and noisy, someone was partying in some of the rooms further down the hall. My room was dingy, the bathroom cabinet is falling apart. At about 1AM, I woke up coughing, smoke was coming in under the door. I have respiratory problems and cannot be around people who smoke. I got up and put a towel under the door to stop the smoke from coming in, I cancelled the rest of my reservation and moved to another hotel.

True budget hotel

Posted 01-Mar-2014
The staff was amazing. So polite and quick to help resolve any issues. The condition of nearly every facet of the hotel is in need if some TLC. It's a budget hotel I felt I overpayed for. I won't stay again unless there is quite a bit of renovation.
