good bang for your buck, esp for 3+ people

I've stayed in a lot of guam hotels. Garden Villia is about 3/4 the price of surrounding hotels, but it is across the street from the beach rather than directly on the beach. All hotels in guam are a little bedraggled (even the 5-star ones). This was as clean and comfortable as the pricey ones with much more square footage. I would definitely stay there again. It had a small kitchen and a laundry room, which was convenient for putting together bagged lunches for hikes and washing clothes during the long stay. WARNING: most of their rooms have 4 single beds, there are only 6 with king beds.

Great hotel for the price!!

Posted 21-Sep-2013
Pros: The room has two full bathrooms, which is awesome when you have four adult males that hit the town hard.
Cons: The pool is only 4ft deep, the pool picture is decieving.
Location: Close to the Green Lizard and the Globe. Take a Cab to the Beach Bar. The beach bar is good on Thursday night, Globe on Friday night.
We came to Guam to party and this place was close to many of the bars and club areas. We visited the Globe which was a blast. There were tons of Japanese tourists that just want to party also. It was my first time in Guam and it was awesome. The hotel staff was very helpful and nice.

Adequate

Posted 21-Aug-2013
Location: In the very touristy section of Tamuning - lots of beaches, restaurants, etc.
We were staying at this hotel as "temporary lodging" via the military, and chose it because the rooms had kitchenettes. It was adequate but not really any more. Pros: - Kitchen was functional, though only with one burner which didn't get very hot - Clean enough - Staff provided a pack-n-play for my child when I asked for one Cons: - No WiFi, and wired internet is fairly expensive - If you want a coffee maker in your room (which I've never seen a hotel without, much less one with a kitchen), it costs $5 a day - Kind of minimal furnishings - which is okay I guess - but for instance, no dresser in the bedroom area - No couch, just 2 chairs - and one of the chairs broke when my husband sat on it - just sat, nothing excessive - Parking is not especially close to the buildings (tricky when you're trying to wrangle both luggage and small children) - Cleaning staff failed to replace toilet paper when it ran out, we had to call down to the front desk - No soap in the bathroom to wash hands

Nice hotel for long stay. Beach across the street.

Posted 16-Aug-2013
Pros: Close to the beach.
I loved being able to walk across the street every morning and walk along the beach. Although they made the beds and changed the towels every morning, they did not change the sheets or sweep the floor. They also do not do dishes if you leave them in the sink. You have to do your own dishes.
