Not for Tourists

Posted 03-Aug-2014
Pros: Location. Near some good restaurants.
Cons: Remodel the rooms. Soundproof the bathrooms. Upgrade the TV.
Location: Outback, Capricciosa, and McDonald's less than 5 minutes away.
Checked in during a Tropical Storm. Staircase had water running down it. Room is old. Bathroom shower head was broken. Could only use it as a handheld. Bathroom had no fan and bathroom door had slats in it.Translation: Everyone in the room can hear what you are doing in the bathroom. This hotel is definitely not worth the price.

Hotel is a little dated, but has nice big rooms

Posted 21-May-2014
Pros: Location and rooms. Two meals I had in hotel restaurant were good.
Cons: Needs some updating
Location: Great location for stores and restaurants a short walk from the hotel.
Overall a pretty average hotel. The rooms are nice and big and have good amenities. The hotel is showing some age. Hotel staff responded well to a request for room change due to noisy neighbors. The airport shuttle is about half the cost of a taxi.

Satisfied

Posted 17-Apr-2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed here on our way to and from Japan. The room was large enough for two roll-away beds and a crib. It was close to restaurants and the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful. A little outdated, but perfect for a quick stopover.

Good, inexpensive hotel in Guam

Posted 11-Feb-2014
Pros: Location from the airport; convenient, good quality restaurant, nice rooms.
Cons: consistency of the availability of hot water; faint odor of cigarette smoke, probably coming from ventilation system.
This is a nice, reasonably priced hotel with a good view of the ocean. The hotel is a bit older but it is an excellent value for the price I paid. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is free wireless internet. There is shuttle service to and from the airport and hotel at a $10 charge each way. The restaurant serves three meals a day and is fine, especially for dinner. My one major complaint is that one morning, the hot water ran out and I had to take a "luke-cold" shower and scheduled showers at different times to be safe. Otherwise, I had a pleasant stay. This is my second time and I have been pleased both times. I would go back again.

Good hotel

Posted 27-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel is old and looks it - e.g. carpet in room looks tired- but service is good. The staff is attentive and helpful. Hotel location is great since it's walking distance from DFS Galleria, The Plaza, etc. You walk downhill to these places but uphill going back to the hotel. :-) I recommend renting a car, which we did, since parking is not a problem anyway. Our two favorite restaurants are Pika's Cafe and Margarita's Burritos & BBQ. Too bad Pika's is open only for breakfast and lunch. WiFi in the room is iffy - works in some areas but not others. We had to go to the lobby at times for faster internet. For breakfast, you choose from 3 sets: Set A had grilled honey ham, 2 eggs, toast, and garlic rice. Set B had chicken katsu with garlic rice, and Set C had spiced ham, 2 eggs, and French toast. There are other items for breakfast on the menu but they cost extra. Overall, good stay.

FANCY PICTURES BUT LACKS COMFORT

Posted 14-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
The view from the balcony was excellent, but the balcony itself was wobbly and unsafe. The staff were friendly but were very flaky when it came to counting our last hotels.com booking confirmation even though there were two of us sharing a room. The hotel is on a slope that is very slippery when it rains, so make sure your shoes have traction, and not to mention how scary it was to stay there knowing a tourist had her purse snatched right in front of the hotel. The worse of all is the mattresses were springy where you could feel the springs in your back, which is extremely uncomfortable and caused back problems for us. When we needed clean towels, good luck at getting only one or two. First and last time we stay there.

Good location for a one night stopover

Posted 10-Aug-2013
Just a 5 minute transfer from the hotel, and the rooms did have a nice bay view - although past other hotels. Good location for a one night stopover, easy to walk to the beach and restuarants. Good for the price for a short visit if you are happy to walk to the beach. Don't expect resort facilities!!! Not much of a pool.

Wedding week 5/1/13

Posted 05-May-2013
The hotel was very convenient for all of the events surrounding our son's wedding. It was close to an excellent snorkling beach, Gun Beach, and was also close to all of Tumon Bay and the downtown area. Access to the main highway was just a few blocks away. Internet aws excellent! The room was reasonably clean (hard to keep everything perfect in such high humidity), but could have been better maintained (I removed the clogged air filter from the AC unit when our room was not cooling and even though it was on the floor under the sink, nothing was done in the six nights we stayed). We asked for more coffee one day, and never received replenishment the entire time we stayed. We asked for an additional coffee cup with the coffee, but had to ask a second time before getting either. We did not receive washcloths on a couple of different days. The TV offered very few stations and no premium (pay per view) options, which just seemed weird to me. The price was reasonable and the other things were somewhat minor to us. i think we could have been more demanding, but really only slept and got ready in the room.

Great value for the money

Posted 27-Dec-2012 on Hotels.com
I was very pleased with our stay. The staff was very friendly. The Bayview is just a little off of the main strip of hotels along the beach, but still has a very decent view. The room was clean and well-tidied, but our fridge didn't work properly. Also, the air-conditioning seemed to only be able to be set fully-on or fully off. Except for these nitpicks, it was an enjoyable experience and well worth the money.

Good price, but not a place I would revisit.

Cons: Support services and beds
Location: On the edge of the Tumon strip and you could find a better place
Free internet, but you get what you pay for; non-existent in the room and only spotty in the Lobby. Bed was hard and you could feel the springs, pillows only about an inch and a half thick. Lobby was small and crowded with all the people trying to make calls that couldn't be supported in the rooms because of the poor internet. Location is OK but on the end of the strip and most of the attractions were a ways to walk.
