“so so”
Good value and great location but a little run down. The room we were assigned was not clean (beds not made etc) and they had to give us another room. The bathroom was old and runned down (with a funky smell). location was great, 3 blocks away from the Cathedral plaza and lots a great little restaurants near by.
“Room was fine for the price. Food was good.”
This is an old hotel, near the center of Guadalajara, which is good if you plan to walk to major city attractions. Food was good and the room was just what I expect for the price I paid, so was fine at the end. Th food was very good, with years of experience. Due to I have to leave the hotel one day before the original checkout date, I ask the manager to compensate this night in any way but he refuses, so I lost one paid night. I was expecting at least a free orange juice on my breakfast.
“Totally different as described”

“Great hotel, very affordable”
The convenience of the location and especially the friendliness of the staff have made my three stays here very enjoyable, and its so affordable!
“San Francisco Plaza... At your Own Risk”
The hotel is very centrally located, but the area can be dangerous at night. I was walking back from a club, and was stopped by the police. After frisking me, they let me go, but stole $500 USD from my pocket. I reported it, but that's a waste of time. With all the toursist going fo the Pan American Games, they should be very careful of the local cops. There is no elevator in the hotel, so anyone who can't do stairs will have to stay on the first floor. The room was spacious, with very tall ceilings. The A/C worked well, but there must be a master control because at night, the air coming out was not cold. The furniture was old and falling apart, but the hotel is charing overall. The breakfast buffet is excellent, especially for 75 pesos (around $6.95/person).
“Beautiful hotel, very affordable”
The first time I stayed here I was won over by the beauty of the lobby, the size and comfort of my room, the sound of horse's hooves on the street outside (pulling carriages), the statues and plants and even live birds adorning the dining room. Have stayed here a second time and found it as satisfying as the first.
“Historic Mexican Experience”
San Francisco Plaza Hotel is a charming facility if one appreciates an authentic Mexican experience. It's a historic hotel. The restaurant is fine for breakfast or lunch - excellent service and good value.
“Un-Happy Client”
I chose this Hotel because I like the extructure it was pretty much what I was expenting. The service is not so good. No help with our lagage whne we arrived and we had a lot includins a stroller and a baby and we had to take the stairs with all. The food is good. The bad part is that my money was stolen from my room from my wallet and a miracle happend right after I called the police the money was found in the bathroom trash can, funny haaa? No one care to say I am Sorry or nothing the guy at the reception was rude and not professional at all, they have no customer service experience. My brother room had a clug bathroom and the guy at the reception expected us to fix it. The area is not nice, lots of nasty bars and it stiks. All I can say is that next time I will NOT stay or recommend this Hotel. No wonder the price here for it is sheap!
“"Nothing fancy but good value"”
The hotel is very conveniently located and within walking distance to all of the historic buildings. There is a very nice daily breakfast buffet. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic and plain. The bathrooms really need improvements.
“Not impressed”
Parking is a big problem because it far from hotel. Also, there are no elevators. It is in the downtown area but not worth the money. The TV was not working properly.
