Perfect Placement

Posted 14-Apr-2015
Pros: The price is good, the rooms had a refrigerator and were clean.
Cons: A fridge is great for long stays, but depending on the weather an A/C unit might serve the hotel well.
Location: The location is good considering I think we were on the wrong side of Grover Beach. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and eateries nearby.
I have stayed in more expensive hotels that were less pleasant than this one. For the price you are getting a clean room, relatively quiet experience and a place to stay that is just a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. The staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean, simple, and although dated, in fine shape. We walked from the hotel to the beach and to a breakfast place nearby, and also to dinner at the Thai place downstairs. We only stayed one night, but we would stay again if we needed to come back to Grover Beach.

Hotel down from beach

Posted 13-Apr-2015
They did have our room ready before noon, but there was no air conditioner just a little fan. No in room coffee and the the bathroom door self locked and we couldn't get in. And lots of long black hair was everywhere in the room

Nice for the price

This motel is just a few blocks from the beach. It is not a fancy motel but it was clean and the staff was nice. There is a little street noise if you stay in the front but not bad. If your on a budget this is not a bad place to stay. Midweek for a 2 queen room was under $100.

Close to the beach

Posted 04-Apr-2015
It was walking distance to the beach which was the best part. It's older hotel but well kept. I mostly shy away from exterior entrance type of places but it was not bad. Like u said location was the key, walk everywhere!

Pros: It was in great proximity to the Amtrak station and the beach.
Cons: The hotel could definitely use some updating but overall a decent place to stay.
Location: This hotel is within easy walking distance of the beach and a number of eating establishments.
I only stayed one night and everything seemed fine to me. The room was clean and had all the regular amenities. It could definitely use some updating as furniture in the room seemed worn; however, it was a decent place for a one night stopover.

Quiet place

Posted 01-Mar-2015
Pros: Convenience and comfort.
Cons: Bed linens had a few presumably maids long black hairs...Suggest hair ties?
Arrived after dark to friendly inn-keeper and a warm, safe, comfortable room with coffee in the morning. What's not to like? Reasonable price, a couple blocks off the highway.

Helt okej rum. Bra med parkering som ingår. Man fick en kopp kaffe på morgonen. Inget speciellt men billigt och helt okej.

Not worth it

Posted 15-Dec-2014
Pros: Good location - near the beach
Cons: Breakfast is non-existent.
Lots of road noise. Not a good part of town - didn't feel safe.
