Reasonable rates. Clean, comfortable, quiet accommodations. Lots of hot water and good beds. What more could you ask for? You could ask for a good location. Well the Paroa Hotel has a great location. By car, you are about 10 minutes to the Greymouth train station and about 25 minutes to the Hokitika town clock. If you walk about 200 meters from the hotel, you'll be on the stone beach where you can look for green stone. There is a small convenience store next to the hotel. The Paroa also has a restaurant and pub in the same complex. We would definitely stay at the Paroa Hotel again.

Pros: Upgraded us to 2 bedroom unit. Was lovely for 3yr old to have his own room. Unit was very spacious.
Location: Close to everything
Facilities: Good, Nice ; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless; We were in town for a wedding and the owners were very accomodating for an early check in so we could get ready.

Old place but good for the price you get what u paid for my advice as we did whenever possible book with big hotel chains they are usually good but in small towns the small motels and hotels chrge the same money for less comfort

Close to beach but isn't a swimming beach. Access to great wee school pool though. Lovely restaurant on site. Great staff and excellent wee spot. Close to greymouth.
