"Great little hotel right across from Loch Ness"
We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. It has more of a B & B feel than a hotel feel. The lady who runs it is very friendly and helpful. The place needs a little love, but it is 150 years old with lots of charm. The rooms (at least the family rooms we had) were large and comfortable. It is right across from Loch Ness and a short walk or drive into Fort Augustus. The food is fantastic! The breakfast was great and the night we ate dinner there, we were all very satisfied with our meals. Wifi was a bit iffy except downstairs in the sitting room. My kids complained, but it didn't bother the adults. We would definitely stay there again!

The Craigdarroch Inn

Foyers, Inverness - Map

"A lovely hotel in Foyers"
The Craigdarroch Inn is a hotel who has a magnificent view over Loch Ness. It is ideal for a romantic week-end escape or for people who love to explore countryside places close/ far enough to an urban place. It has a breakfast room , as well as a bar-restaurant, which is very convenient, because you are there in a remote place. However, you need to have a car to reach it and the roads might be tricky, because the do not fit two cars at the same time.

"A great hotel in the middle of town."
Booked the day before we arrived so did it in a little bit of a hurry but both my wife and were very pleased with my choice! The reception area was very clean and the receptionist courteous and announced we had an upgrade which was great. The room was clean, spacious and had a whirlpool bath. Breakfast was OK but not sure when Scottish hotels will realise that a "Scottish breakfast" should NOT include beans or hash browns, that said it would not stop me from booking this hotel again.

Old Pines Hotel

"Great hotel if a little off the Great Glen Way"
Lovely setting and surroundings - a great place to stay and views across Spean Bridge towards Ben Nevis. Welcomed with Scones and a cuppa tea after a 13 mile walk from Fort William. Chef was excellent - had a super Steak for the evening meal - couldn't fault the food. Nice place to stay if a little off the GG Way (2 miles uphill!) tho I gather that the Hotel has picked up 'weary/lost travellers' from Gairlochy when requested, but check this out with them first if planning a stopover.
