Rooms were very basic, no refrigerator, no facilities for making a cup of tea. When I complained about the refrigerator I was told you really do not need one in Denmark ,but we could change rooms for you for an extra $30 per day. We did take this offer but then found there was nothing in the room where you could effectively make use of a refrigerator, no cups, no cutlery even a teaspoon, no electric jug. It was a joke really.
Skagen is a quaint town built for tourists. Hotel Petit fits the bill with a warm staff eager to assist tourists on their queries, a location within a short walk of the train station and the main retail corridor, a four-star breakfast, and a clean accommodation. While my room was small and I could hear the corridor at times, I still slept comfortably. And the WiFi was better than I have gotten at luxury hotels. This is a hotel that isn't "chintzy" for a three-star independent property. As a veteran of the hotel industry, I am proud to see Hotel Petit represent the best of management training and quality of stay.
Skagen has a lot of pricey accommodations, even in the off-season. Hotel Petit may be "small" in the number of rooms but a great value for the price.
Note: this isn't a luxury or a deluxe hotel. If you want that experience, Hotel Petit isn't for you. But for the price point, this is a very worthwhile accommodation.

"V ery convenient for the ferryport, but walking to"
We arrived early straight from ferry from Norway, and despite that were found a room so we could unpack and fo to the beach. It was very hot! Also the reception staff were very helpful in putting our foodstuffs in a refrigirator.
The dining room staff were equally pleasant and helpful, changing the menu slightly to suit us.
Altogether a very pleasant experience.

Great stay in a quality and stylish hotel in a lovely and unique part of Denmark. Food, drink, and suite all excellent. Service was very slow at times, particularly in the bar, due to high season crowds - there should be a system for identifying and prioritising hotel guests over visitors in the bar. Also, along with all things in Denmark, it is very expensive for tourists. One point to note, the hotel is spread over several buildings - including the car parking - we were in the main building, which I would recommend - poor weather would make other buildings a pain!
