“Will never go back to this hotel, Worse thana motel :(”
No words. Bad service. Couldn't wait to leave. Overnighter
“ok hotel”
hotel was ok, some of the staff are not friendly at all, some are great. bathroom mirror was dirty, which gives me some concern about how thoroughly they clean the rooms.
“Relaxing”
I would recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing time quit and good open space
“Thoroughly enjoyed it”
Nice location. Facilities were good, some upgrades needed. Food was great and the open bars all day.
“Fence Sitter”
The Rex has great potential to be a beautiful place. It certainly once was a beautiful place and even from afar it still is a beautiful place, but once you get closer and see the details, one realizes its old, run down, needs some major repairs and maintenance. However, the food was amazing, and was never dissapointed by a meal. The only thing they lacked in the food department was a new and better set up for the food display, the dishes and cutlery etc. were old and discusting- the covers for the food would turn you off sometimes. .Some of the staff were amazing and some were not so freindly at all. The rooms were always clean and well taken care of and if you choose the all inclusive option- you will not be dissapointed with the choices and the taste of the beverages- they are amazing! The beach chairs could be replaced and repaired, but its great to have access to free snorkel equipment etc. All things considered, I would stay there again, hopefully they would have done some repairs, maintenance and up keep by then.
“Much to be desired”
all the staff needs inservice on customer service, the the importance of handling and talking to their guest with respect, respecting the needs of the elderly and do not focus on receiving tips in order for them to provide the guest with proper and kind customer service.
“I will be going back!!”
My stay was enjoyable. The food especially was great, such variety of local dishes, and to top that off it was all prepared with what I call the Grenadian experience (all local staff). I found the staff to be cordial, knowledgeable and very helpful. I will recommend the Grenada Rex experience to anyone. Reg T.
“Very disappointed”
I was very disapointed with the Rex...Finding my room first of all was difficult, and when I got in the room from the secuirty of the door looked scary...the bathroom was the most disapointment....the tub was rust, the floor looked liked mud was on it...the place is in dire need of renovations.....and then the ability to get internet access, even in the lobby was difficult.....not the best experience I've had.
“never going back”
the staff is very unprofessional so that needs to be fixed.
“Great place for a business trip/Hotel experience”
If you are planning a vacation where you stay and enjoy the comforts of the hotel, this is a good place to be. It is extremely close to the airport, which is good. But if you plan to explore the island you may encounter challenges in terms of transportation. It is off the bus route therefore you have to pay more in terms of bus fare, and there isn't much to do near the hotel so you have to get transportation for everything (food, shopping, entertainment etc.).
