“Restaurant pricy and poor quality food”
I stay in a standard room which was clean and comfortable, there was not fridge in the room, to have a fridge it would cost 26 EC per day. The walls and ceil was covered in artext which looks like an illness. The food from the hotel restaurant was expensive and of poor quality, My child and I waited one hour fifty minute for our meal and we did not enjoy it (this was a bank holiday and all shop outside the hotel were closed). The breakfast was worst and very expensive and on top of this they add 10% service charge and 15% vat on your bill. The hotel grounds is picturesque at every view. It is a nice hotel if you want peace and quite but if you have children it could be quite boring. There is no entertainment at night and the music in the lounge would put you to sleep.
“Grenada Grand Beach Resort”
The Grenada Grand Beach Resort is in a great central, but quiet, location on Grand Anse beach and is set in expansive gardens. I upgraded to an Executive Beachfront room which I think was the key to my enjoyment and relaxation during the week that I stayed. Some of the standard rooms are very basic and poorly laid out, but several were being extensively renovated and upgraded while I was there. It was great being able to walk straight onto the beach while also having the gardens and pools close by. The two large pools were well maintained and with plenty of room not to feel crowded. The staff were friendly and helpful, and security was present yet unobtrusive. It felt like the hotel just needed to do a bit more to reach a 4* standard but were working hard toward that.
