“"Can't wait to go back"”

All of the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and efficient. We were allowed to check in very early as we arrived at the hotel at 8:00am. This was excellent Customer Service. We did not have to pay any additional charges. Most hotels charge extra if you are checking in earlier than planned. I was very pleased with how we were treated at the front desk. We checked out early as well and they kept our handbags in a safe for us and allowed us to shower and change in their courtesy room. The guys at the bar were very pleasant and warm as well. The overall experience was simply wonderful!

Area recommendations

Granse Anse. It is near the town and easily accessible. The bank, strip mall, beach, club are all near this area. Umbrella's restaurant was nice.

When to go

You must see Sister's Water fall, Annabelle waterfall, the view from Fort George. The Belmont chocolate factory to see how chocolate is made etc.

“will go back”

The hotel is quite good . The staff is nice. Hotel is very clean. Food is good. Location is great . The view is the best. the beach is good . Great hotel for money . all inclusive is a must. Great hotel for the money.

Area recommendations

Grand anse beach is the best. It is safe , clean and pretty. Main city is dirty and too narrow with winding roads. This is close to the airport.

“We will stay here again.”

The hotel is on a steep hill side. The rooms are above the access road and the facilities are below the road. Walking down to eat was OK but it was equivalent to a 10-12 story building back up to our room. The hotel provides a courtesy cart so we only walked back up once. The AC worked very well but was pretty loud. Get instructions on how to set it to minimize the noise when you sleep. The restaurant was pretty good and the service was spotty but friendly. It's close to two nice beaches and has a nice pool area as well. The hotel arranged an all day tour around the island (Sun Tours) which was really great.

Area recommendations

Take the island tour with lunch at Belmont Plantation. I wouldn't rent a car and drive yourself. The roads are very steep and very narrow. We also had lunch at BB's a couple of days. It was better than I expected notwithstanding the hype of "best restaurant in the world".

Must see

We went to Grenada to visit a relative attending Georgetown University. The campus is very impressive and quite large for the number of students.

What to pack

Do by all means pack your mosquito spray. Maybe they were super bad when I went because Greneda had been getting alot of rain with all the tropical storms they had this year.

“Wonderful View With Late Night Traffic Noise”

Enjoyed our stay at Flamboyant Hotel. Had a good time at the bar by the beach. Met many interesting people and the staff was friendly. Didn't eat at the restaurant because it was mostly buffet. Just over the hill we found Gem's Hotel with a restaurant on a beautiful beach. We also found the disco that stayed open to 5:00 am. Hense the problem. Our room was 50 feet from the road that connected the disco to town. The traffic noise between 3:00 am and 5:00 am woke us every night.

Area recommendations

True Blue Bay because of good resturants/bars on waterfront docks.

“Grenada on a budget”

The hotel provides a beautiful view of Anse Beach/Bay. The staff were very friendly, yet they were very slow. Our one bedroom with a kitchenette was very old. The bathroom had some serious water damage that was not repaired by a professional. There was no remote for the TV; however, it was a large flatscreen. The flatscreen was in the bedroom with no TV in the common area. The neighbors next door were very noisy and a strange smell escaped from under the door which connected our rooms. We did not eat in the restaurant, as the restaurants were very expensive. The food did not look all that great anyway. Our teenagers had a regular room with two queen beds which was newer than our room. Their room was also much quieter than ours. They were higher on the hill, which meant they had more stairs to climb, but their view was beautiful. For the price, compared to other resorts we would probably stay here again. This hotel is not good for those who have trouble walking/climbing stairs. We loved the exercise! Good for the budget.

“For the right reasons....”

I was very pleased with the Flamboyant Hotel in Grenada. It was not a surprise to have to climb 130 stairs from the beach to our room. The hotel does offer a shuttle service for those unable to make the climb, but this is not a physically disabled friendly property. The views are fantastic from the rooms and the location is perfect on the end of the Grand Beach. Adventurous folks can take numerous walks and find secluded beaches. Downtown is a long walk and bus trip or a $20 US cab ride. We were pleased as we were looking for a quiet time to share together. Staff were very friendly, but watch out for the Manager's Rum Punch welcome party....it packs a whallop! We did not take advantage of the all-inclusive aspect but did enjoy several meals in the restaurant and beach bar. I would eagerly return to this property, but would recommend it only to those sure of foot and with alittle adventure in their souls.
