the bathroom was filthy, they didn’t have any tissue the light did not work, they had people standing outside smoking weed right by our room they had people selling drugs, when i came to checkout the lady was telling another customer that their microwave was broken and was cursing very unprofessional and dirty disgusting hotel i paid $220 for this room and never again!! i will never ever book at this hotel ever again

Room 207 had extremely large crack in tub and stains. There was dried urine on toilet. Key/lock broken with cabling exposed. Dead roach on floor. Would not recommend using towels and wash clothes provided! Definitely did not appear clean. Not worth price listed!

The room was disgusting, but I had already checked in and I was exhausted. There were no towels, but I bought my own. I got out of the shower and stepped on a piece of glass which lacerated my foot. I went to the front desk and attempted to address the problem with management, including showing them the blood soaked rag, wrapped around my foot at which time they told me they were going to call the police to have me tested to see if I was on drugs. It is with them, and the gentleman was extremely hostile, which was cooperated by the guests in the lobby. I left and went to another location as they would not address this contact they told me there was nothing they could do. So if you go to this location stay at your own risk And don’t do it through Expedia because they will hang out to dry.

Other than Bobby and Tina and their assistance, this stay was the worst RR I have been to. There was hair in the tub, the A/C unit couldn't get hot and one of the beds were missing a blanket. They apparently had no more blankets. Bobby was nice enough to check the unit out and gave us 2 sheets because he didn't have access to get more blankets. The towels were dirty with black all over. I went to get replacements and Bobby asked one of the staff if there were any more towels, the man checked and had none. Laundry wasn't done and the person with the key to the storage wasn't there. I had to dry with my dry clean clothes. The sink was broken and leaked. There was trash and a earring in the room.

Bed linens stained and dirty, along with towels, hairs on the bed, food in the sink, fixtures broken, paint peeling off doors, and roaches. We checked out the very next morning, 3 nights early through Expedia, and our refund request was denied.

It smelled of cigarette smoke all over the property , it was construction outside, there was a roach in my room and none of the outlets worked . The lights; to charge my phone, nothing.
The bathroom door was literally a tall piece of wood; there was no handle and it was too big for the door hole so it wouldn’t even close. The bathroom light didn’t work showered in the dark.
And they tried to charge me a early check in fee

When we arrived at the hotel, the person checked us in. Upon getting to the room, there were cigarette burns in the sheets, the room was incredibly dirty and after pulling back the sheets there were tons of stains and evidence of bed bugs. I spoke with the front desk who said they could switch the room, and as we were talking another couple came in with the same complaint about their room. The desk staff then became upset and said we need to contact Expedia and they could not do anything for us. We left and ended up having to stay else where due to the room conditions.

Stayed two nights because there were no vacancies in town. Daughter stayed in another unit. I was appalled at the condition of our room but after looking at hers ours was in a lot better condition.
Red Roof should be ashamed to keep this place open. Needles in the parking lot, people hollering all night (one knocked on our door - waisted) and another came in.
Bad customer service (attitude) at the front desk, ice machine broke, door locks didn’t work and had to be reset almost every time we used it. Won’t be returning.

The Red Roof Inn in Greenville has many subpar features, but my absolute favorite was the hole drilled in the door instead of an actual peephole. This is a major security concern as you can clearly see all that is happening in the room by peeking in from the outside. And this was a traditional first floor motel room so my door was right on the sidewalk.
My second favorite is the bed's thin metal footboard. The mattress isn't long enough for the frame, so it's really easy to kick the footboard.... which sounds like a gunshot. Greenville doesn't need any help with ambient gunshots. It's all set.
Other features of note were the broken safety latch on the door, the caving in shower light, the dingy towels, a long hair in the bed sheets, and PEE ON THE TOILET SEAT.
If this hadn't been the only hotel left with available rooms when I booked it months ago for my kid's college family weekend, I would have stayed somewhere else. As it was, I wasn't excited about staying at this Red Roof, but I can say my very low expectations were left unmet.

The best thing about this hotel was the very nice young lady who checked us in. She had to help us get in our room and she brought me an extra pillow. She was very nice and helpful but the hotel overall was in poor shape.

The room smelled horrible tried changing rooms and it was the same thing and many homeless people in the area hanging out in front of the hotel. Ended up moving to another hotel . At least the front desk was nice enough to refund the money for not staying

The front desk lady wax very kind and accommodating. The other employees were also. However, the room looked horrible from a construction standpoint. Half the door molding in the bathroom was ripped off the wall so you could see the whole inside of the door frame. There were patches and holes everywhere. The rooms and pillows also heavily smelled of smoke. It was unpleasant.

Ceiling was pealing off, mold in bathroom, headboard ripping off. Room smelled like smoke. Telephone buttons broken, ac unit not working properly

Do not stay here. Pictures /reviews are deceiving.
The bathroom door didn't fit the opening and had a hole in it and had no knob. Corners of the bathroom floor had quite a bit of dirt, the shower curtain was moldy and mildewy and basically very gross like it hadn't been washed in years. I hated even touching it to close it. The bathroom vent was also full of dirt. The two lights by the bed didn't work and the one by the dresser burnt out while we were there. We just had sheets on the bed that were washed but stained, no blanket or cover and the mattress had indents on each side. The television only worked sporadically and there was no remote so we had to turn it off and on and change channels by pushing buttons on the side. We knew it was a smoking room but it was extremely smelly like it hadn't been aired out at all and the window was covered with a dirty film.

I asked and paid for a non smoking room,it reeked of smoke. No hair dryer,coffee maker or iron in the room. The surrounding area was in my opinion unsafe,people smoking strange smelling stuff just hanging around,in one room a big pit bull in the window,looked more like a place for vagrants . Not normal travelers.

Upon arrival, the bed had yellow stains and tears on the comforter. Holes that have been plastered, not painted, door frame ripped off the bathroom. Exposed wires coming out of outlet, sink was brutally cracked. It was graduation weekend at ECU for my daughter, so I was forced to stay there. Never ever again. I'm fumigating and sanitizing everything I had to bring.

Rooms were average. Place was more of a apartment building. Several rooms had permanent guest. Some were even cooking in them. Outside grounds was a mess construction going on one side of building. Litter on the other side.

“Non” smoking room had cigarette butt burns on duvet, towels and sheets were dirty//stained, pillows yellow and everything smelled like smoke! I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn’t want to come out smelling like smoke.

The woman at the front desk was fabulous, very friendly and accommodating. But I felt uneasy immediately when she had to buzz me in for safety reasons. The motel is on a main thoroughfare, with other motels, restaurants and local businesses all along it. She put me on ‘the quiet side’ of the building. Between the property’s security system at the front door and mention of a quiet side I wondered if there was a dangerous element in the neighborhood that I couldn’t see. When I went to find my room I discovered the property was in shambles. Along the exterior chunks of paint and wall covering were missing. On the inside furniture was missing, there was a big hole in the wall and the mattress was higher at the foot than the head of the bed with a big sag in the middle. I went to get some dinner, figuring I’d bring in my luggage afterwards. Instead, I decided not to go back and found somewhere else to stay. I know the chain is a lower cost option, but the condition of this property was impoverished. I’ve stayed at other Red Roof Inns that were better…no frills, but kept up. After this awful experience I will hesitate to ever stay at another Red Roof Inn. I’ve lost confidence in what I’ll find.

The rooms was dirty, floors not sweep, moped, bathroom was not clean, toilet paper holds was broke, cara revenging their engine in the parking lot, people were arguing in the lot downstairs, cussing, yelling, doors slamming, etc.
