Nice Place for Good Price

Posted 01-Jul-2015
We stayed one night, traveling through. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Refrigerator, microwave, shower, etc. all worked fine. Stayed with our dog and had to pay $22 additional. Red Roof Inn doesn't charge for pets, so we usually stay there when we can. However, we would stay at this hotel again if we were in this area.

Good location, terrible dirty room, horrific bath

Posted 28-Jun-2015
Only good thing - location, the rest was horrible. I have never seen dirtier bathroom in my life: black stuff all over the bathtub and walls in the shower. The towels were brown (even though they used to be white at some point). I would not let any of my family members take a shower there that night. The room smelled with bug spray and there were patches all over the walls and ceiling. I would not stay here ever again.

Outdated. Beds are not comfortable.

Posted 08-Jun-2015
Pros: Convenience to where we had to be.
Cons: Complete renovation!
Location: Very near to ECU
Pretty clean, but way outdated. Beds are doubles, not queens. Very uncomfortable. We had 2 towels, friends of ours stayed the same nights and never had towels. They were given hand towels for bath towels. Said they were "out of towels" and the hotel was no where near full.

Nasty Staff. U get what u pay for!

Posted 02-Jun-2015
I was charged even though I prepaid through Expedia. Got in room where there was absolutely NO toilet paper & no towels. Cleaning staff was very rude when I asked for a roll of toilet paper. Told me that they were washing towels.

Very Nice accommodations and very convenient.

I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. The Continental Breakfast area was very nice and my room was clean, spacious, with lots of amenities. Extras I didn't expect but was glad to see.

Okay Hotel for the Money

Posted 08-May-2015
Pros: It was very close and convenient to where we needed to be.
Cons: The staff could be more consistently pleasant. There were a few nice staff members, but not the majority.
Location: Didn't have time to explore.
Our biggest complaint is the fact that our room continuously smelled like cigarette smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. Other than that it was an okay hotel. Based on the price we weren't really expecting anything fancy. We paid around $60 per night. If the cost were more than this we would have been "very" disappointed.

Good location to restaurants.

Pros: It was clean.
Cons: Need an air freshner; smelled stuffy in the room when we first walked in.
The hotel was booked to full capacity and they ran out of towels.

The hotel and room were clean and neat in appearance. My room smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. We checked in late the night we arrived (around 1:40 am), and were too tired to complain, and the hotel was full. Discovered the next morning that the toilet wouldn't flush. Told desk clerk the next morning about the smoke and they sprayed it with heavy deodorizing spray and when we arrived back at our room later in the day the smell was 95% gone and the toilet was repaired. I wouldn't have a problem with staying there again.
