“All the negative reviews are still accurate 7-25-11”
Me and a couple friends traveled from Charlotte to play in a golf tourney. So we stayed here since hotels closer to the tourney were sold out. Just needed a shower and a bed for the night. Well, instead of going on a rant... JUST DONT STAY HERE. Staff was TERRIBLE!!. Didnt get any sleep. Didnt expect much, and was still very let down. My friend dropped change in the bathroom and left it. Was just a VERY bad experience. Dont do it. Spend the extra 10 bucks.
“Nothing special”
The hotel was a place to sleep. I don't sleep well when I travel, but I can if a hotel is especially comfortable. Everything here was budget--cheap towels and not many of them, plastic cubs, no shampoo, no iron, just a spread and sheets. The air conditioner was noisy. The breakfast buffet didn't look like much, we didn't bother with it. I gather they do a weekly business or with truckers. We had an event at nearby Elon University and couldn't get in to some nicer hotels where we've stayed before. The people were nice.
