“The noisiest hotel in the UK”
Next door to a nightclub or club and only stud internal wall separation also decor tired. Manager gave me earplugs now have ear infection
“Glasgow hotel”
Spent three nights at st judes. The room was decorated well, had all the necessary gadgets and was clean. However, it was unusually hot and dry, had to keep the window open all day and night and had the fan on. In the basement there is a bar\club, and on two Of the three nights, the ground floor dining room was rented out for private parties, which went on till about 3am... But, in fairness it wasn't particularly loud and the partygoers didn' t cause a nuisance. All in all I would recommend the hotel.
“If I ever get back to Glasgow, will def stay there!!”
This hotel gives both the feel of a large hotel with the friendliness and personal attention of a B&B. Located close to any City Centre location, it was both convenient and comfortable. The room was spacious and very clean. The Staff was very accommodating and always asked us if there was anything they could do to make our stay more pleasant. We loved it!
“Good hotel with extremely friendly staff.”
If only the parking was cheaper, 2 pounds per hour. But the hotel was sufficient for our needs and the staff were exceptionally helpful.
“A little dissapointing”
After such a good welcome when we arrived at the hotel it was downhill from there. Paid for an upgrade which we did not get. The stairs were dirty. The manager was working in a cupboard halfway upstairs and the door was wide open with all sorts of rubbish on view. The sink was cracked in the room, the coffee and tea in the room was never topped up,the milk was not replaced. The fridge in the room did not work. And finally after the first day there was never anyone at reception to help us with our complaints apart from late in the evenings when all you wanted to do was have a coffee or tea.The hotel was in a good location for all attractions, and a little more effort would make it a nice hotel.
“A disappointing experience”
When it came to checking out there was nobody at reception, and though we called from reception to request service from a member of staff (as a sign states), nobody answered. As we needed to leave in order to get a train, we left the room key behind the desk. I would also like to take this opportunity to highlight some other elements of service that we felt also left a lot to be desired. * No chance of making use of the mini bar - there were only a couple of bottles of soft drinks and a small bottle of spirits in it when we arrived and it was never restocked. Maybe if the minibar had been stocked we would have used it. * On our first day at the hotel, there was no shower gel in the bathroom, only shampoo. * The curtain in Room 4 can not be drawn fully. * At breakfast on Saturday the 24th, the breakfast room did not appear to have been completely restored for proper usage after a function the previous evening. * The coffee at breakfast was so weak as to be undrinkable. * Used glasses of water in the room were not cleared during room cleaning. * There were no staff present on Sunday morning to request breakfast in the time we had before we needed to leave. We would have considered all of these things easy to achieve in a hotel billed as 'boutique' - or indeed any hotel that cared for its guests.
“Great Value”
Comfortable bed, good shower, quiet hotel despite being right on Bath Street. Will definitely go back.
Man muss also vorvereitet sein.
