Convenient city-centre hotel

Posted 18-May-2015
Pros: Central location
Cons: One very small point - have individual toiletries instead of dispensers
Location: Restaurant almost across the street - Fratelli Sarti - had a good breakfast and a great dinner there.
Check-in was simple. Room quite large and very clean. Could not hear street noise, although on the street frontage (room was on the fourth floor).

Hotel in great location

Posted 27-Apr-2015
Pros: LOCATION, staff and reasonably priced breakfast
Cons: rooms a little bland and functional.
Location: Close to restaurants, pubs, shopping and theatres. Everything we needed.
Excellent hotel in fantastic location. Very clean. Only slight grumble that room a bit basic, but only a minor detail. Staff very helpful and bar and reception areas very nice.

Really wanted to give it a 5 rating...

Posted 10-Apr-2015
Pros: The brilliant beds. the location and staff.
Cons: The street noise is awful so better glazing.
Location: Great location near shopping and good restaurants/cafes. We found Sarti across the road for Italian was good and a short walk was Bill's for deals.
Great location near to Buchanan street shopping and lots of good restaurants and cafes. Really nice staff who are more than helpful. Clean rooms with excellent beds and bedding. All set for a comfortable stay with a good nights sleep right?, Wrong. The reason it don't get a 5 rating - street noise. All beyond the hotels control I know. Glasgow has been in the throws of major road works everywhere for the last few years! and a broken grating outside our room (even though staff had thoughtfully moved us to the 5ht floor after our last stay) was very loud and we were awakened around six every morning with the multiple buses and cars racing over it. Besides this our AC didn't work the first night and we were absolutely freezing. I reported it the next morning and staff sent someone up. it didn't improve the heat much and it would have been really nice if the staff had checked with us that things were satisfactory but they didn't. Anyway having said all that, we still really like this hotel. Particularly the room sizes and the brilliant beds so I believe we will be back before long.

Perfect mid city location.

Posted 08-Apr-2015
My daughter and i stayed for the weekend and had a great time. Location is perfect. So handy for cinema, restaurants, subway etc. Room was lovely and we were away from the street side so was lovely and quiet at night. Great night sleep! Breakfast was lovely too. Very happy!

Good value for money

Posted 08-Apr-2015
I usually pay a little more but decided to go for something a little less expensive on this stay. In general it was good value for money. The room was basic but comfortable and sufficient. There weren't enough pillowa but we later found a spare ( well hidden). There were no toiletries and the only soap dispenser was empty. The check in was fast and efficient. Breakfast which was included ,was good, except for the service which was non existent. If you are looking for a good value no frills hotel then this is fine.

Excellent City Centre Hotel

Posted 07-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, staff, room, bed, bathroom, breakfast - everything really.
Cons: We had a courtyard-facing room, and there was some slightly noisy ventilation equipment, but since it was a relatively constant hum it wasn't too bad.
Location: The whole of Glasgow City Centre on your doorstep
Loved staying in this hotel. Really good location, friendly helpful staff, excellent room, comfy bed, great breakfast. And very very good value on the Expedia Easter Sale. What's not to like?

Clean, quiet, comfortable in the heart of Glasgow

Posted 07-Apr-2015
Pros: Staff were great, also location, cleanliness, quiet, and comfy bed. Excellent value.
Cons: A towel bar in the bathroom would be nice.
Location: Close to subway and train stations.
The Park Inn was just what we wanted: clean, quiet, and comfortable, equidistant and only a short walk between the train stations. Staff were warm, efficient, and helpful, room was immaculate and QUIET even in the heart of the city, and bed comfortable. The only reason it is not overall 5 stars is that it is not luxurious--but who needs luxury when one has everything else at such a good value?

Excellent location, great staff, clean basic hotel

Posted 31-Mar-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: In-room heating
If you're looking for a city centre stay this location is great. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room is however quite basic. I use Travelodge a lot with work and this is barely a step above it - an iron, safe and hair dryer are the only difference. Also the in-room thermostat when set to 24 degrees didn't keep the room warm. There is a tiny round table with one chair and one stool. As stated, if you want to spend most of your stay out in the city centre and not really in the room then you won't have a major issue as the hotel is very clean and the staff friendly - they brought us a superior pack with bath robe, slippers etc which was a nice touch.
