“Will go back again.”
The hotel was very tastefully decorated and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is right in the city centre and is walking distance from the rail station, shops, museum, and other attractions. I would definetly go back to this hotel if visiting Glasgow again.
“can't wait to go back”
Just back from having my Hen Weekend in Glasgow, had a great time, great hotel and very friendly staff. Arrived on friday and got to check in early to all 5 rooms I had booked, ate in the restuarant on friday night which was excellent then had a few drinks in our room and got ice delivered by a lovely young man who was very pleasant! At checkout on Sunday the man on reception was most helpful at keepeing our luggage and phoning a taxi when it was time to go to the train station. Would definately stay at the Marks Hotel again.
“Great Hotel! Exceeded all Expectations!”
The hotel was great from start to finish. Excellent service, friendly staff, nice room, good selection at breakfast and sensible check in and out times. The suite that we had was fantastic. They are on 2 levels with a panoramic view of the city and beyond. The bedroom upstairs with a seating area and bathroom downstairs. Well worth the small fee for the upgrade. The rating of 3 1/2 stars in my opinion is underrated. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to anyone. The only downside I can see would be for an older couple due to the stairs in the suite leading up to the bedroom but for anyone else I would say it's fine.
“Excellent Hotel”
Very impressive hotel which is very central in location and maintained magnificently. Very reasonable price with friendly staff.
“First Class Hotel”
First class hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It is very centrally located within 5 minutes walk from George Square and Queens Street train station. Will definitely come back happily again.
“Excellent”
the Marks hotel is a pleasant surprise. Location is fabulous - right in the city centre. Hotel rooms are spacious, clean and decor is contemporary. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is nearby (at a very good subsidised rate) so the only small drawback is having to drop off luggage then go and park the car elsewhere. Will definitely go back - we had a great stay
“Good clean hotel spot in the the center...”
Excellent hotel for stay. Good access to restaurants nearby. Only problem is overpriced breakfast.
“Great hotel - Great location”
We have stayed here before a couple of years ago and thought we would try it again as its great location close to shops and restaurants. Parking is at a reduced rate in the car park next door £13 for fri - sun. Room clean and well furnished. Only wee gripe would be breakfast time. Staff do a great job but there doesnt seem to be enough of them so tables are not cleared quickly enough when people are finished so had to wait around for someone to clear a table. In saying that, plenty of food and tasty. Would stay again and recommend to all.
“A loveley experience, definitely going back :-)”
Travel experience was easy and convenient, unfortunately the struggle with the system trying to check in our flights was a nightmare with contradictions on information between expedia and British Airways but once we overcame this all went very well thank you. Hotel staff were amazing and the breakfast hearty :-)
“very attentive staff, nice bar with outlook on the street, helped with maps of area”
would certainly use it again en route to the more alfresco attactipons of Scotland which has much to offer and caters for visitors from all round the world with great aplomb
