“Very good quality for a cheap hotel.”
Good service, clean and reasonable prices. Would definitely go back!
“Poppy”
Functional room, ironing boards and irons could do with a revamp
“would stay there again.”
the location of the hotel was daunting as it is in the nightclub area near glasgow railway station and we were a little worried walking to the hotel, the hotel is very good with friendly staff and very efficient, check in took no time at all, check in staqff were excellent. Our room was at the rear of the hotel overlooking the railways, windows are double glazed so there was no noise. husband is ex railways and was in heaven. room was large, some rooms we had stayed in were very small so this was a great surprise one small issue is there is no fridge in the room and we had powered milk for our drinks.
“Very comfortable”
Really handy for every form of entertainment in Glasgow. My room had a nice view of the River Clyde at night which was superb. Right next to the rail station, which was great in the morning. Shoppers would love this hotel, as its right on Argyle st and St Enoch shopping centres.. A real pleasant stay...
“Fulfilled my needs on this business trip”
Used this hotel as convenient for Central Station (10 minute walk) and my conference was held at this venue the next day. I have stayed here previously as within walking distance of another venue on St Vincent Street
“pleasant surprise”
Very clean and modern hotel and room. Rooms on station side with windows open can hear the trains. Great buffet breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff.
“Cold noisy room”
There was no public internet facility (other than wi-fi if you had a laptop with you). However, the receptionist said she would check me in online for my flight the following day. They had changed their computer system that week so, although she was able to check me in, she was unable to change my airline seat or print out a boardiing pass for me. When I got to the room, the shower head was not detachable so the only way to wash my hair was to have a shower at the same time. The room was really cold even though I adjusted the thermostat. The heating system was also extremely noisy so as I had found a spare blanket in the room, I put that on the bed and switched the system off. There were other continuous strange noises which sounded as though someone was coming through the door. As no one did, I assume it was other doors in the corridor. I could also hear the next door guest in their bathroom. Although the room looked out onto the railway station, thankfully, the noise from the trains was not loud. Overall, I felt the hotel was good value for money and in a convenient location but I am not sure I would stay there again.
“Nice Hotel in a run down area”
On the day I arrived the Hotel was changing its computer system; despite that they were able to find my booking and allocate the room. Breakfast and Dinner was good with lots of choice. Close to rail stations.
“Brillant Hotel”
Have stayed in this hotel last 3 years and will be back again next year. Good hotel and lovely breakfast. Conveniently situated for shops and restaurants.
“Hot and uncomfortable night”
We stayed one night when attending a concert. It was a warm night, room on the 10th floor with woefully inadequate air conditioning unit...we had a restless night as a result. Opening the window meant a lot of noise from the street/sirens and the railway line that runs along the back of the hotel. Also the room was large enough for a king size bed but only had a double. The bar man we encountered was frankly incompetant..gave me a vodka instead of gin and the prices were exorbitant.
