Room Amenities
Dining
Grand Central restaurant offers an excellent menu featuring local and seasonal dishes. Located on Hope Street the newly opened Deli offers a quick or light meal before heading off to the city or whilst waiting for the train with the great atmosphere of a continental cafe. Tempus restaurant offers an excellent range of food with flexibility from a pizza from the superb pizza oven to great Scottish fish and steaks.Champagne Central on the entresol level lives up to its name, not only offering a superb range of champagnes but also a very innovative cocktail list along with premium beers and spirits.A stunning room with marble floors, marble pillars and the most magnificent gold leaf dome lit by an extravaganza of light from the huge crystal chandelier. This is the most exciting place to be in Glasgow, the atmosphere is buzzing, the biggest danger is that whilst sipping your glass of champagne you may well see your train depart as the bar has a really interesting place to people watch over the train concourse.

“will def use again”
this is our 2nd time in the grand central hotel , we booked it again for many reasone , cost, location and we had a great stay in it last year , room was clean very comfortable and staff very helpful , will def stay again
“hooray opened at last and looking grand”
the hotel looks grand from the outside and is even better inside i loved it.I have always wanted to see the inside as a little girl and it sure did impress . I am so glad that all the original features have been saved. The room was lovely we were on the forth floor all the rooms we had were diferent some were a bit cold but the reception did send up heaters right away . All staff were very pleasant and helpfull.Thefood was very good although we could not get a resevation at the time we wanted jt wasfully booked so reserve when you book.Great location for every thing Glasgow has to offer and a tremendous amount to see so enjoy.
“Old and cold.”
Good location. Odd shapes of rooms. My bedroom was very small but the bathroom was huge for no reason! Heating wasn't working so first night v cold. Took 3 reminders and 18 hours for repair. Fell well short of expectations. A sense of mutton dressed as lamb
“going back next year for our fourth visit”
would not consider staying anywhere else.
“Excellent hotel”
The hotel was excellent in every way. Friendly, clean and the location is excellent. The only problem was with expedia not the hotel - we booked a twin bedded room and it confirmed twin bedded room on the confirmation but when we arrivied it was a double bedded room - we asked to be moved but the hotel was fully booked. We were moved into a twin room for the second night. When we complained we were told the fault was with expedia and it often happens with their bookings.
“Lovely Hotel In Glasgow”
This hotel was a nice surprise. Bright and roomy. Very up to date. The staff were helpful. We were facing a taxi stand and did have some noise around 3 in the morning. This was solved with lowering the blinds, and closing the windows. There was no fridge or bath. We did not mind. Quite beautiful and handy for out purposes. Jan and Matt
“Very comfortable and friendly staff”
99% of the staff were most accommodating and friendly. We had over 80 people staying there for our sons wedding. We would most certainly return to spend more time in Glasgow.
“lovely hotel in very central location”
Had a good time there, the restaurant was good value for money and the champagne bar was excellent but the beer at £5 per pint was expensive. The only slight disapointment was no fridge or mini bar in the room.Overall 5 out of 5 and I would definately use it again.
“Convenient at Gare du Nord”
Convenient hotel very close to Gare du Nord. Service ok; noisy lift.
“Great central location, excellent for station and city.”
Excellent location, great style. Only minor gripe is the TV wasn't the easiest to use. Like I say, minor gripe.
