“Don't Book”
These apartments are not for the short-stay visitor to Glasgow. We booked for 3 nights and did not have hot water for 2. There is no phone in the apartment and that is a safety issue even more than a convenience issue. The heat is on a timer and that means it goes off...The space is nice and roomy but the Lofts are not really meant for tourists who are not staying for a while... The doormen are very nice but there is no one to help solve the various problems I have mentioned. No- choose another accommodation if you are staying for less than a week in Glasgow. The facilities are not maintained for short-term visitors.
“glasgow lofts, highly recommended”
I had an overnight stay at glasgow lofts for a night out with my partner and a friend and his partner. The room was amazing, very modern, im 26 and am quite fussy with where I stay when travelling or away and I have to say this was the most comfortable and spacious accomodation I have been in and I have used many 4/5 Star hotels before. The bedroom had a comfy double bed and my partner enjoyed a jaccuzi bath in the morning. The kitchen facilities where excellent with good quality cuttlery and cleaning products. I am going to cancel another hotel I had booked for 2nd of november and book glasgow lofts instead as I would like to continue to stay there on any future visits to glasgow. 5 STAR quality
“Excellent Glasgow experience”
We stayed 4 nights in the Lofts, 2 adults and 2 children ( 2 and 4). Great location, easy to find ( but Satnav helped), good parking, friendly and helpful desk staff. Easy local food outlets and groceries. The rooms were clean and modern and the children loved the glass walls, although on the fourth floor there was no view to speak of. Problems with the TV were sorted immediately. Overall we were very impressed and would stay again with children.
“best place to stay in glasgow”
i always stay at glasgow lofts - for a relatively low rate you get a very spacious apartment with immaculate bathroom and kitchen, and great views over glasgow city. back of the block is quieter, front can be a bit noisy at night.
“Noisy at night, not perfect but would return on next visit witout question.”
No bulbs in either lamp (that worked), blinds on windows broken and noisy at night as room too hot. BUT, central, cheap, huge, nice rooms, great bathroom. Good kitchen and massively convenient. I have to go back to Glasgow in Feb and shall be staying there again.
“Disgraceful and disappointing.”
What a let down. We arrived to a discusting looking apartment block. There was no parking. We request a room on the one of the highest levels overlooking the city.... What we got was a room on the 3rd level looking in to a ghetto behind... We had to keep the blinds down the whole time. After booking this hotel on the bases of the laundry facilities it provided, only to find that washer/dryer ment washer/ aired or clothes horse (which was broken) pretty frustrating after doing 2 loads of washing and having to find a laundry mat to get it all dried. Reception was so unhelpful. Out of the 13 levels of apartments only the top 2 would have the views as per the pictures and majority of these apartments are permeant residents not holiday let. Don't get your heart set on the ones in the pictures. Apartments are serviced daily.... Ours wasnt serviced once.
“So Impressed”
Upon arriving by taxi at the building we were greeted by the very friendly consierge who directed me to the office to fill in the needed paperwork and receive the keys. We proceeded up to the room and were absolutely amazed when we opened the door to see the most beautiful loft. It had a beautiful room with leather sectional couch, large TV, table and chairs and a kitchen with granite countertops. The bedroom was separate and very roomy and the bathroom was also amazing. I cannot believe I got this room for $120.00 Canadian when I was paying more in British pounds for much less elsewhere. I would definitely recommend The Glasgow Lofts +++++++
“Bargain”
For the price, we were really surprised at how good this was. Plenty of space, clean, simply decorated, two bathrooms, with all the usual extras in good working order. We didn't hear a thing from any other apartments (we were on the 8th floor). The desk staff were friendly and helpful. It's around the corner from Centre of Contemporary Arts (which has a good bar), a 20 min walk from both GoMA and the University of Glasgow, and a £3 cab ride from Glasgow Central Station, so we were happy with the location.
“Faulty Towers... UNBELIEVABLY BAD - BEYOND WORDS”
arrived at the lofts & thought we were at the wrong place as It looked like an old tenement block from the 60's not what you expect from its 5 star rating. The reception area was dirty, and the tiny office was unmanned,we were eventually shown to our apartment after10mins by a young women who was polite, but as it was her1st day was unsure were to go(she was the only member of staff working, apart from the security guard). The Apt was awful,so bad we took photos-the doors throughout wouldnt close properly, the waredrobe space when opened contained electrics, pumps boilers etc.None of the tv's worked at all, when I went to complain, the security man who doubles as the maintance man came up & literally hadnt a clue & no manners just mumbled nonsense & complained he was due to finish 5 minutes ago. We where moved to a bigger apartment that night, where at least the tv's worked but,my god the noise was crazy,a rave going on outside until 5am!!we where on the 10th floor & at the back which is supposed to be the quiet part of the tower! There were 'homemade' plugs in the living room made from 'cardboard' and sellotaped to the wall-again i took photos-u couldn't make this place up!in the morning we were told we would have to move back to our orginal apt.as this1 was booked,I'd had enough & asked for a refund and left, booking somewhere else for the next 2 nights.Ive sent a letter to visit scotland who give this place 5stars-they dont deserve even 1. Please do yourself a favour DONT GO THERE!
“Bit ragged round edges”
It s okay this place. Reasonable facilities and good location. Often used by party groups so a bit ragged and the long hairs in my bathroom weren't welcome. Avoid flat 1 on each floor: house the water heater for the floor in your wardrobe. They've also installed cheap double glazing.
