Great location in a great city. Breakfast, although extra, is worth it. Nice, small hotel. Would definitely recommend it.

Not cheap, but a fantastic hotel!

Brilliant hotel. Spacious rooms. Lovely staff. I would suggest you opt for an executive room that includes entry to the club lounge as alcoholic drinks are free from 5pm-10.45pm and tea/coffee are free throughout the day. Also in these rooms, you get a free mini bar and 3 decanters, one of whisky, one of sherry and I think the other was gin. Superb for the price. Also food in the Windows restaurant is fantastic.

Great hotel in the centre of Glasgow

Posted 01-Feb-2015
Location: Carlton George is one of the most central hotels in Glasgow. It is next to the shops on Buchanan Street, as well as George Square and Queen St station
Having decided to have a night out in Glasgow, we saw the opportunity to stay in the Carlton George. It always looks nice when we walk past it and thought we'd try it! We were not disappointed. We got a lovely welcome and quick check-in and when we got to the room, it got even better. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. There was not much of a view but we did not mind as we were only there for one night. The complimentary mini bar was a good bonus too. We had a great night sleep and were surprised at how quiet it was with the hotel being right in the centre of Glasgow and on a busy street.

Really enjoyed staying in the hotel. The complimentary mini bar was great. They has nice fluffy towels, and the only complaint is that the pillows are cheap. I bought one there. We would return and recommend.Service was friendly.

New year break

Posted 03-Jan-2015
Pros: Location and comfortable rooms.
Cons: Unless you have access to the executive lounge,no communal areas apart from restaurant.
Location: Perfect location everything on the doorstep
Nice comfy rooms, friendly staff however on New Year's Day when pretty much everything is shut if we hadn't had access to the lounge would have spoiled it a wee bit.
