“Enjoyable stay”
very comfortable, bed room a good size skirting boards needed a clean , en-suite a bit tiered, swimming pool very nice. Bar supper 2 choices out of 3 good, fish-cakes disappointing though, breakfast on the other hand was excellent and beautiful view (even on a rainy Nov morning) up the Clyde and across the golf course.
“Looking forward to next visit....”
Lovely friendly staff. We had a beautiful meal and found it all very reasonable.
“great location, a comfortable country house hotel”
Great location, good value and very comfortable with spa and golf course at hand. We will come back
“last chance for golf before the airport”
A golf course with hotel facilties is the best description. Selectedc for it's proximity to Glasgow airport, it is a great "last stay" in Scotland hotel if you want a rural setting instead of jets landing all night long nearer to the airport
“Best value in the entire area.”
Because we were a family of five adults travelling together, it was difficult to find reasonable accomodations. Most hotels in Britain offer rooms with a double bed or two twins. For a better price than most, we were able to get rooms with two double beds - in a beautiful golf resort with a spa equal to any. This hotel is one of the best. It's set in the country with glorious views of the Firth of Clyde, but is only a few minutes drive from Glasgow Airport and the city. The staff were amazing! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful - especially Sean at the front desk. He was amazingly knowledgeable about Glasgow nightlife, which added extra zing to my young adults' trip. We never ate at the restaurant or even tried any of the bar snacks, so I can't comment on the food, although it all looked wonderful. All I can say is that the restaurant has a beautiful view from its windows. We stayed there for eight days and will definitely stay again next time we visit. Do not miss this gem of a place!
“Excellent service”
We were at Gleddoch for a family wedding, which was catered superbly by the hotel. We had several special requirements; my daughter has food allergies, and the staff were very happy to cater for her diet. Secondly, staff dealt very compassionately with a medical emergency that arose during the wedding meal. My grandmother collapsed during dinner, but staff efficiently cleared all of the guests from the room, called an ambulance and were extremely helpful in managing a difficult and emotive situation. One staff member even went so far as to drive me to the hospital, following the ambulance (a 20 minute drive). I cannot praise the staff of the hotel highly enough. The service was exemplary.
“mixed feelings”
This was to be a very special third visit to the hotel with a family member on holiday from the States. We had two single rooms which were perfectly adequate, but my bedroom window was open and as it was old and stiff, I was unable to close it. This was partly due to the fact that in front of it there was a chest of drawers with a large TV on it, so I couldn't get in to close it. Also there was a Ceilidh wedding going on just opposite my room, so it was essential that the window was closed. There was a lot of to-ing amd fro-ing outside my room well into the wee small hours and I have never heard so many loud floor boards creaking in my life, so I was not exactly in top form in the morning. This was the first time I have encountered this problem and I'm uncertain as to whether i will return. Ant chance of having the potholes repaired ?
“castle hotel”
great if your using a car to travel frm place to place.
“Relaxing sleep in a gorgeous location”
I stay in this Hotel whenever I visit Glasgow - which is about 4 times a year. The location is wonderful and the fresh air is a cure for insomnia. I normally sleep less than 6 hours a day - my average in this hotel is nearer to 10. So bring a loud alarm clock or request a wake up call! The hotel itself has seen better days - but if you want peace and quite this is the place for you.
“Terrific night sleep”
This is a wonderful hotel for fresh air and a great night's sleep. Set on a golf course it also has magnificent views.
