“Great place to stay!!”

Hotel was clean and well kept and staff was exceptional. Would definitely retu.rn. Lots of places to eat nearby but far enough removed from the action to get so me rest and relaxation , as well! Would definitely return again.

“Nice hotel in a good location”

Hotel was perfect for our purposes -- somewhere safe and comfortable to sleep. It was close to an underground station and close to many shops and restaurants. The staff was very helpful with directions and information. The only real problem was that there was no water when we first arrived. This condition was being investigated by the reception staff when I went down to desk to ask about it. We were offered a room in another of their hotels before the water came back on, but decided to stay where we were and decide if we wanted to move later in the evening after we returned from our activities of the day. The problem was determined to be a water main leak that caused the water to be shut off, affecting properties over several blocks, and the water was back on by the time we returned to our room. It was nice to have a mini fridge in the room, and it was a nice touch to have a small packet of cookies/biscuits left with the complimentary instant coffee and tea in the room.

“Pleasant Place to Stay”

This hotel offers a B&B type experience in a quiet neighborhood with good links to central Glasgow. It's quiet and night and the beds were nice so we got a good night's sleep. A very active bus stop is located just across the bridge by the botanical gardens which includes a stop for the tourist oriented hop on, hop off bus as well as several other lines. A five minute walk further brings you to the Hillhead station of Glasgow's small but useful subway system. The surrounding neighborhood is great. The pub in the desanctified church just across the bridge and river has wonderful atmosphere and great values on the menu. Breakfast was nice and the staff was helpful.

“No elevator.”

The West End of Glasgow is definitely a fun part of the city, and this hotel is next to the Glasgow Botanical Garden. Nearby are good restaurants.

“good hotel/ staff could have been friendlier”

Upon arrival, the lady at the front desk seemed irrated that we were there. Breakfast had finished in the hotel and when we showed up we interrupted her eating time. Great value for the price. Parking in front of the hotel is hard but there is a parking area in the back for guests. It is a 5 to 10 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk, to the metro station which is easy. We stayed next door in the Embassy Apartments because we are a family of 4. It had a kitchenette and our own bathroom. They also have free wireless internet.

“Unique small hotel”

The room is really well decorated and well maintained with free wifi. The washroom is rather small. Noise from other rooms is slightly audible. The location is about 10 minutes walk from the subway. There are plenty of supermarkets and enough restaurants in the neighborhood. The front desk was really helpful.
