This hotel was a delight. HUGE 2 bedroom apartment with inside and outside dining area. Incredibly comfy mattresses and separate bathrooms for each bedroom. The apartment was very clean and there was every utility required for a self catered apartment.
The staff were brilliant - Having departed back to Sydney I discovered I had accidentally left my ring in the safe. On realising this, and some 24hrs later I contacted Waters Edge to ask them if it had been handed in. A quick dispatch of a staff member to the room and some further communication and I was gladly back in receipt of my ring in time for my return to the UK. Superb service.
Super location at the bottom of the steep hill! Close walk but far enough away not to be disturbed from the noise of the bars!
Pleasantly surprised !! Not expecting much as the pictures of the website made the room look tiny, but on arrival it was huge and very comfortable with all kitchen and apartment amenities. Double curtains blocked out the sun in the morning and fan and aircon were great in the heat. Mattress was top quality. Water pressure & bathroom hygiene were fantastic. The views straight across the harbour were beautiful all day both from the balcony and the pool. The bar is open afternoons/evenings and has a nice relaxed vibe. Woolworths is directly at the bottom of the hill and all the cafes shops and bars are just past that. Having an apartment for the week saved us money on eating out and allowed us to be independent and do things off the tourist track in airlie beach & around.
Our first impression was "wow" and this feeling continued throughout our stay. Layout, design, attention to detail, quality of contents were all first class. Even though we booked through a deal website, we had a room better than expected - with a lovely spa bath on the balcony - a bit hit after a few days on a boat. (although I doubt you could go wrong with any of the room choices). Very comfortable bed, loved the giant tv/wii - even though the Whitsundays is all about life on the 'outside' and we didn't have much time for that! Very quiet - only 6 other apartments. No noise, even though on the main road. No notes or signs telling us what we can and can't do - which makes you feel a respected adult. Staff very friendly, flexible and accommodating - smooth process for all transactions. They happily booked our airport transfers for us. Overall an amazing experience and we will definitely come back again!

Stayed a week at Blue Horizon and was very happy with everything...Short walk into Airlie Beach or a very good bus service almost on your doorstep. Staff were very helpful and courteous and there is a fantastic pool onsite as well...had no trouble with noise apart from my last night, when a very vocal group of "yobbos" swore loudly and played loud music on returning from a nightclub...3am till sunrise...All in all a wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
