Booked this hotel last minute on arrival in Graz, it is centrally located right in the middle of the town with views over the castle and main square (depending on your room). The rooms are huge for European standards with high ceilings, hardwood floors and plenty of room. The building itself is a classic 18-19 century refurbished beauty. The water in the bathroom tap is drinkable, there is a small fridge in each room. The gym is not really useful, it is very basic with minimal equipment, but there are plenty of good areas to run from hotel including a trail along the river. Great resteraunts close by, huge supermarket in mall attached to hotel. We were upgraded on our first night and room had nespresso coffee machine as well as a kettle. We stayed another night on return trip home and had a basic room facing inside courtyard but were still very happy.

A welcoming hotel with very spacious rooms. Located in the lovely old part of town, not far from the cathedral, and yet it was very peaceful and quiet. We were a party of three, and our room was on two levels, with the master bedroom upstairs from the living area. The rooms were very clean, well furnished, with very comfortable beds. A large and clean bathroom. Buffet breakfast was part of our booking. Typical European breakfasts with range of cold meats, cheeses and breads. There is hot food available, eg. eggs and bacon, but you must order this directly from staff. Wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Wide range of teas available and coffee machine available for a reasonable coffee. Umbrellas available for use from reception (very useful and handy as it rained on a couple of days of our stay).

This hotel is a bit difficult to find. It was OK but the lack of suitable air conditioning and the noise outside until 3 AM was very annoying. We had a 2 room suite. The decor was very average and the breakfast was barely OK (not much selection). However, a fairly short walk (10 min) to the old section of Graz although I would be concerned a bit coming back late at night. Overall...basic and average.
